It looks like art is imitating real life for General Hospital star Teresa Castillo (Sabrina). Not only is her alter ego Sabrina expecting a child with former fiancée Patrick, but the actress and her husband, Shane Aaron, are expecting their first child — a baby girl!
Castillo shared her news exclusively to People Magazine. “It feels wonderful. This is the most joyous time of my life. It feels great to finally be able to share it with the world.” The 30-year old actress says her high pitched squeals of excitement was her announcement to her husband, who was aware that she was taking a pregnancy test.
The actress and her husband, married since 2008, have been anticipating the start of a new family. “Shane and I have been together for quite a while now and we’ve always wanted a family. We’re so excited to start this new chapter in our journey,” she told later told Soaps In Depth exclusively.
Castillo says they were surprised to learn a girl was in the cards for them, as they were certain she was carrying a boy. “But we’re both completely thrilled. I’m one of three girls and I have two nieces, no boys. So our families weren’t surprised at all.”
The baby is expected to arrive in May.
