It’s official! NBC has confirmed soap veteran Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair,One Life to Live) is joining the cast of Days of our Lives as Eve Donovan!
Coming off an Emmy win for Outstanding Drama Series and a two-year renewal, Days of our Lives plans to keep the momentum going by injecting new life into the canvas! Earlier this week, talk of DePaiva heading to Salem spread like wildfire after reports indicated that a possible deal was on the horizon. Days of our Lives says the alum One Life to Live and Guiding Light will bring a fresh dynamic to Salem as the series explores the many facets of the Donovan family like never before.
“We are excited to welcome Kassie to the Days family,” says Greg Meng, Co-Executive Producer, Days of our Lives. “Stay tuned to find out how the return of Eve Donovan shakes things up in Salem!”
Charlotte’s ties to Salem are through the Donovan and Brady family. The long-lost daughter of superspy Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy), Eve came to town in 1986 to break up her father’s marriage to Kimberly Brady. The hell-raiser didn’t just wreak havoc on her father’s; she soon set her sights on Frankie Brady, causing problems between him and Jennifer. After a few years causing more trouble, she departed Salem with Frankie in 1991. Her sister Theresa (Jen Lilley) moved to Salem last year and is following in her troublemaking footsteps.
Kassie DePaiva’s first episodes are expected to air this summer on NBC.
