The world’s most popular daytime drama, The Bold and the Beautiful, will make daytime history when stars Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Don Diamont (Bill) and Thorsten Kaye (Ridge) travel to the United Arab Emirates for a multi-episode location shoot!
TV Guide Magazine broke the exclusive news about B&B’s trip to the Middle East countries Abu Dhabi and Dubai. “This is a great opportunity for us. B&B is really popular on the Dubai One network and that’s opened up a lot of doors,” head writer/executive producer Bradley Bell told TV Guide Magazine. “We don’t quite know what to expect but that’s always the most fun part of this job — going off and trying things we’ve never done before. It’s very exciting.”
The opportunity for the location shoot came as a result of an upcoming triathlon that Lang will participate in.
The soap will film in the UAE March 17-19 and the episodes will air in late May or early June. The storyline featured in the shoot will involve Ridge following Brooke and Bill. Bell says the show is taking advantage of the growing rivalry between the two alpha males. Ridge is on a mission and feels protective of Brooke and doesn’t want Bill to become involved in his son’s life.
