General Hospital alum Alicia Leigh Willis is heading to Days of our Lives! Who is she playing? Also: General Hospital is looking to add a young character to the canvas; while The Young and the Restless is seeking an older African-American male.

As first reported by Soap Opera Digest, former GH fan favorite Alicia Leigh Willis (ex-Courtney) is heading to Salem for a short stint as Debra, the wife of Liam (Mark Collier). Her character is described as someone “married to a man she thought was her perfect guy only to have the illusion shattered by his lies, manipulation, threats and dangerous actions.” She first airs Tuesday, April 22 when Nicole (Arianne Zucker) starts digging into crazy Liam’s past. This isn’t’ the first time Willis has ventured to Salem. In 2010, she was tapped to fill in for an ill Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe), but her scenes were never aired.

In other casting news, The Young and the Restless has issued a casting call for the recurring role of Barton. The role is described as, “An African-American doctor in his late 30s to early 40s, handsome, intelligent, and a highly capable surgeon.” The show will be looking for actors with name recognition to play the part.

General Hospital is looking for a character that sounds like it could be Carly’s oft-mention but rarely seen daughter, Josslyn. The character is an eight-year old girl with blonde or light brown hair; a “rebellious kid, with a good heart underneath.” Sounds like Carly’s child right? The role is ongoing and recurring.
