Daytime Emmy season is upon us! The road to the 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards starts now; with the reveal of the pre-nominations for the acting categories. Which stars will advance to the next round? Who didn’t make the cut?

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) in cooperation with The Television Academy (ATAS), today announced the Drama Performer Pre-Nominations for the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards.

The process used to determine those chosen as Pre-Nominated performers follows:

An online judging ballot containing all entrants in each of four performer categories (Lead Actor and Actress and Supporting Actor and Actress) was sent to all registered, eligible peer judges. The ballot contained a randomized order of performers in each category, regardless of their show affiliation. Judges were required to view clips online containing the work of each performer entry before selecting their top 10 performer choices in each category. Please note that there are 11 Lead Actors and 11 Supporting Actresses due to exact ties in the voting.

The stars below received the highest number of votes and will advance to the blue ribbon screening round, scheduled to begin on February 24, 2015, which will determine both nominees and recipients for Lead and Supporting categories. Nominees for Younger categories proceed directly to the final nomination round. All nominations will be announced on Thursday, March 26th.

  1. I hope Doug Davidson will take home the Daytime Emmy for Lead Actor not Billy Miller again this year. I think Doug will win because Austin shot him and he found out Dylan was his son too.

How is Elizabeth Hendrickson is nomiated even she was on Y&R for even less than a week? How young child actors come be even nominated too they are too young in my point of view?
