Star Wars: The Best Merchandise for ‘Rebels’ Fans

0

Ever since Star Wars – Episode VII: The Force Awakens hit theaters last December, legions of fans have been searching for ways to satisfy their growing Star Wars obsession. Luckily, the Disney XD animated series Star Wars Rebels, now in its stellar second season, is an entertaining way to pass the time until Rogue One and Episode VIII finally hit theaters.

As with any property in the Star Wars Universe, Rebels came with the release of more merchandise to satiate the fans’ Jabba the Hut-sized hunger. While most of these items are found in the toy aisle of your local superstore, there are plenty other product options out there for those who aren’t avid action figure collectors. Below are some of my favorite pieces of Stars Wars Rebels merchandise, for fans young and old.

Advanced Graphics Life-size Cardboard Cutouts

As seen in the LucasFilm offices during episodes of ‘Rebels Recon’, Advanced Graphics’ Life-size Cardboard Cutouts allow you to proudly display your favorite ‘Star Wars Rebels’ characters all around your home. These cutouts truly do standout and are excellent nerdy decor for any room. If the ‘Star Wars’ films are more your speed, there are cutouts of nearly fifty characters from the prequels, original trilogy, and ‘The Force Awakens’.

Star Wars Rebels Fathead Wall Graphics

Fathead Wall Graphics are high definition images made of tough high-grade vinyl that’s tear and fade resistant, so they’re guaranteed to last longer than 14 parsecs. There are plenty of designs and character options for the Rebels fan, but the selection of Wall Murals are my absolute favorite – they’re striking enough to be displayed in any room of your home and feature all the characters you know and love.

Red Hot Rebels Woven Throw

I’ll admit it – I’m a sucker for a good decorative throw. There’s not much I enjoy more than curling up on the couch with a good blanket while I watch far too much TV – that’s why I’m obsessed with the Red Hot Rebels Woven Throw from The Northwest Company.  Featuring the entire Ghost Crew (a surprising rarity with some of the ‘Rebels’ merchandise) the throw is excellent for curling up on Wednesday nights to watch the latest adventures of Ezra & Co. – or switch things up and use the throw as a wall hanging for your bedroom.

Star Wars Rebels Jewelry

I’m all for celebrating fandom in ways that make a statement and can be worn in everyday life. As cool as wearing a Stormtrooper helmet to work might sound it just isn’t practical. There are a bevy of companies out there selling ‘Star Wars’ branded jewelry – far too many to list here – but I’m partial to the Love and Madness collaboration. The jewelry includes everything from “Rebel” necklaces to Vader bangles to Yoda flash tattoos and prices are affordable for all fans! The silhouette necklaces get my pick for favorites in the collection – a subtle yet fashionable way to show off your love of all things ‘Star Wars’.

Darth Vader Waffle Maker

Darth Vader Waffles

The most important fandom in your life can now begin with the most important meal of your day: Breakfast. Thanks to Pangea Brands’ Darth Vader Waffle Maker, your waffles are guaranteed to know the power of the Dark Side. Each waffle you make forms the shape of Lord Vader’s helmet – making it easy (and delicious) to keep your allegiance to the Empire. To add even more galaxy far, far away to your morning meal, Pangea Brands also makes a Darth Vader Toaster in the shape of his iconic helmet, branding your toast with the iconic ‘Star Wars’ logo.

Star Wars Rebels Books

A New Dawn Book Cover

One of the things continuously setting the Star Wars universe apart from other franchises is its ever-expanding mythology. You want to know the names of every denizen of the Mos Eisley Cantina? The information is just a click away! While ‘Star Wars Rebels’ the series is its own complete tale, there are novels, comics, and guides helping to give more insight into the characters’ backstories. The novel ‘Star Wars: A New Dawn’ written by John Jackson Miller recounts the past of fan favorite Kanan Jarrus, including his first encounter with Ghost pilot Hera Syndulla.  While this story might not be essential to enjoying the show, it provides a deeper insight into the characters and enriches the ‘Rebels’ viewing experience.
