In anticipation of tomorrow’s all-new episode of Riverdale, Warner Bros. TV has posted a sneak peek of Josie and the Pussycats’ “Sugar, Sugar” performance to YouTube.

Of course, longtime Archie fans know Sugar, Sugar was originally performed by fictional band The Archies on cartoon series The Archie Show way back in 1969. The song hit mainstream radio that same year and spent four weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Led by the fabulous Ashleigh Murray (Josie), the Josie and the Pussycats’ version is a cover of Inner Circle and Flo Rida’s 2009 single “Candy Girl (Sugar Sugar)”, one of many tunes inspired by The Archies’ iconic song.

Watch Josie and the Pussycats SLAY their cover of “Sugar, Sugar” below and be sure to watch an all new episode of Riverdale this Thursday at 9pm on The CW.
