A month after a casting call went out that sounded an awful lot like Jordan Ashford and the announcement that Vinessa Antoine would be vacating the role, General Hospital has found their new PCPD Commissioner. And fans may recognize her from another soap.
Soap Opera Digest has announced that Briana Nicole Henry will be assuming the role of Jordan Ashford, and is expected to begin shooting later this month. You may recognize Henry from her brief stint on The Young And The Restless as supermodel Esmeralda.
The character was brought on to be a mentor of sorts for Summer Newman but was soon turned into a romantic bedfellow for Devon Hamilton after being frienzoned by the object of his affection Hilary Curtis. She only appeared in 16 episodes and spent most of it being stereotyped as the materialistic girlfriend happy to be in the company of a billionaire. Jordan Ashford is seemingly the complete opposite of that so we are interested in seeing what she will bring to the role.
Henry also has appearances in Insecure, Undateable and Jane The Virgin to her credit. No word yet on when her first air date will be. Stay tuned.
