The night HE came home…on 4K Ultra HD.
John Carpenter’s iconic horror film Halloween is coming to 4K Ultra HD for the first time ever. Available September 25 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, the two-disc set includes both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-Ray versions of the film along with more special features than you can shake a butcher knife at. The combo pack arrives just weeks before the new Halloween hits theaters, making this the perfect time to relive the terror of the original classic.
According to the press release, “this edition of the horror classic delivers four times the fear with four times the resolution of Full HD with 4K, which also uses Dolby Vision™ HDR to bring to life the stunning cinematography of this supernatural horror film. When compared to a standard picture, Dolby Vision can deliver spectacular colors never before seen on a screen, highlights that are up to 40 times brighter, and blacks that are 10 times darker.”
Special features included on both discs are as follows:
- Audio commentary with Writer/Director John Carpenter and Actress Jamie Lee Curtis
- “The Night She Came Home” Featurette
- “On Location: 25 Years Later” Featurette
- TV Version Footage
