Get ready, witches! With just days until we return to Greendale to reunite with Sabrina and co. excitement is at an all-time high. Before Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 3 drops on Netflix, here are six teasers for the magic and madness to come…
The Fright Club
Teased briefly at the end of Part 2, Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) and her friends — Roz (Jaz Sinclair), Harvey (Ross Lynch), and Theo (Lachlan Watson) — are heading to Hell to rescue Sabrina’s boyfriend, Nick (Gavin Leatherwood). Dubbing themselves The Fright Club, the group also doubles a band! Get ready for musical covers galore this season, with performances of ‘My Sharona’, ‘It’s Tricky’, and more.
As if Sabrina’s love life wasn’t already complicated enough, a new potential suitor arrives this season in the form of Prince of Hell, Caliban (Sam Corlett). Just don’t expect the two to hit it off right away.
Matters of the Heart
Speaking of new suitors, look for Theo to get a love interest this season in the form of new kid in town, Robin (Jonathan Whitesell). Fun fact: Whitesell previously appeared on Riverdale as Kurtz.
Blood in the Cut
Nick’s storyline this season is going to surprise many, as we get to see a side of Nick we’ve never seen before. The former bad boy is forever changed by his time in Hell, further complicating his relationship with Sabrina.
The Other Dale
Those hoping for a Riverdale crossover will sadly have to wait a little longer, but the town with pep does factor into this season in more ways than one. Viewers will want to keep their ears open for mention of a certain family and their maple syrup farms…
There Will Be Blood
The main villains this season are a group of a pagans who come to town masquerading as carnival workers. These pagans pose the biggest threat to Sabrina and the rest of her coven yet. Suffice it to say, not everyone will make it out alive.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 3 casts a spell on Netflix Friday, January 24.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina re-imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft.Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.
Cast includes: Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, Bronson Pinchot, and Gavin Leatherwood. Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also serves as chief creative officer of Archie Comics, penned the script for the series. Aguirre-Sacasa executive produces alongside Riverdale collaborators Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater and Lee Toland Krieger. The drama hails from Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions.
