‘The 100’ 7×03 Review: There Isn’t One Because #BlackLivesMatter

0

Most days, despite my love/hate with the show, it’s an honor for me to review The 100. That being said there are more important things happening in the world right now that deserve the time, energy, and passion that goes in to the hours I spend drafting said reviews. I have made the decision to skip this weeks review and instead share links to petitions and places to donate in an effort to help and support the Black community and those who have allied with them in an effort to see change in a country that has failed them time and time again. See below for more.

Petitions:

Some people can’t afford to donate and there’s no shame in that. The least we can do is sign a petition and add your voice to those demanding justice for the wrongful deaths and persecutions of innocent people.

Justice for George Floyd

Justice for David McAtee

Justice for Joāo Pedro

Ban The Use of Rubber Bullets

Justice for Emerald Black

Arrest The Other Three

Justice for Breonna Taylor

Justice for Tony McDade

Donate:

A little can go a long way. Every cent counts especially now.

George Floyd Memorial Fund

Black Lives Matter

Philadelphia Community Bail Fund

Louisville Community Bail Fund

Brooklyn Community Bail Fund

The Liberty Fund (New York)

North Star Health

And if you can’t afford it:

Donating and signing is the least we can do and we should ban together to do it. Nobody should ever feel like their life is in danger because of the color of their skin. Change happens here, today, with us. White people, recognize your privilege and stand with, elevate, and adhere to the Black voices.

Say their names. Remember them. Do better, be better.
