HBO has renewed The White Lotus for season 2. The series follows a group of tourists at a hotel called the White Lotus. The new season will follow a new cast at a different hotel location. The first season’s cast included Murray Bartlett, Natasha Rothwell, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Lacy, Brittany O’Grady and Sydney Sweeney.
The main cast for hulu’s How I Met Your Father series has been announced. The 10 episode comedy is a spiritual successor to the CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother. Hilary Duff was cast as the titular character. Also announced are Chris Lowell, Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, and Suraj Sharma.
Netflix has renewed Kid Cosmic for season 3. The series follows a kid who stumbles upon cosmic stones which grant him and his team powers. Season 2 returns September 7.
Season 11 of adult swim’s Robot Chicken is set to premiere September 6. The season will roll out Mondays through Thursdays until the season finale September 23.
PBS has ordered an 8 episode cooking competition series titled The Great American Recipe. The series will be hosted by Alejandra Ramos with Leah Cohen, Tiffany Derry and Graham Elliot set as judges. Home cooks and chefs from around the country will share their signature dishes in the hopes of winning the title. It will premiere in 2022.
Buzzr has finalized a deal to air original episodes of the 1970s game show titled Whew! It was hosted by Tom Kennedy and announced by Rod Roddy. The series lasted a little over a year and hasn’t been seen on TV since it aired. The episodes will begin airing September 5.
