Prime Video’s new series Night Sky will premiere May 20 with all eight episodes. The series stars Sissy Spacek and J.K. Simmons along with Chai Hansen, Kiah McKirnan, Julieta Zylberberg, Rocío Hernández, and Adam Bartley. Spanning space and time, Night Sky follows Irene and Franklin York, a couple who, years ago, discovered a chamber buried in their backyard which inexplicably leads to a strange, deserted planet. They’ve carefully guarded their secret ever since, but when an enigmatic young man enters their lives, the Yorks’ quiet existence is quickly upended…and the mystifying chamber they thought they knew so well turns out to be much more than they could ever have imagined. 

The Sound of Magic will premiere on Netflix May 6. In the fantasy music drama, Yoon Ah-Yi has lost her dreams in the face of reality while Na Il-deung is under pressure to pursue his dreams. An unexpected yet enchanting story about what it means to become a grown-up unfolds as the two encounter an enigmatic magician, Ri-eul.

HBO’s The Gilded Age has added to its recurring cast for the upcoming second season. Joining in recurring roles are  Laura Benanti, Robert Sean Leonard, Christopher Denham, David Furr, Ben Lamb, Matilda Lawler, Dakin Mathews, Michael Braugher, and Nicole Brydon Bloom.  Rebeca Haden who appeared in the first season will also now recur. 

Jesse Williams and Sarah Drew are set to reprise their roles of Jackson and April in the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy. No word on what will bring them back into the series. The season finale, which is the series 400th episode, will air May 26. 

Diddy is set to host and executive produce the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. This marks exactly 25 years since Combs won his first Billboard Music Award in 1997 for his multi-platinum album No Way Out. The ceremony airs live on NBC May 15. 

Singer Shawn Mendes will co-host The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on April 29. Mendes and Fallon will deliver the evening’s monologue together to kick things off. Mendes will sit down with Fallon to chat up his upcoming tour prior to the pair interviewing Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Mendes will close out the show with a live performance of his newest single, “When You’re Gone.” 

Ayoola Smart has joined the cast of Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time. Smart will recur in the second season. 

Jasmine Davis will not be returning to Showtime’s The Chi when season five returns June 26. In a tweet, the actress seemed to imply she departed due to Disney’s recent handling of Florida’s new law. 

NBC News’ Lester Holt, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb will host Inspiring America: The 2022 Inspiration List airing across NBC, Telemundo, MSNBC, CNBC and NBC News NOW on May 7 and 8. Broadway Legend Rita Moreno, Olympians Nathan Chen, Erin Jackson, and Mikaela Shiffrin, Fashion Icon Christy Turlington Burns and more will headline this year’s inspiration list.

Baby Fever will premiere on Netflix June 8. The six episode comedy drama centers around the life of fertility doctor Nana and the clients she meets and treats… and lies to! When Nana, in a drunken state, inseminates herself with a really special portion of sperm – namely her ex-boyfriend’s – she starts a chain reaction of catastrophes, both big and small. This rash move leads to a pregnancy and Nana now has to figure out how to explain her condition – which one can’t hide forever – and win back her ex-boyfriend and long-lost love. The problem is just that he doesn’t seem particularly interested in getting back with Nana. 

Cartoon Network’s Climate Champions campaign is aimed at giving kids tools and resources to take action on climate change. The initiative, in step with the network’s Redraw Your World tagline, empowering kids to positively impact change in the world, initially kicked off in EMEA last year, inspiring more than 95,000 kids to sign up and take on more than 830,000 challenges to-date. Music prodigy Nandi Bushell will introduce the initiative this Earth Day, Friday, April 22 with a special message about the importance of climate activism that will post across Cartoon Network’s social channels. Bushell will also be featured as part of a social media campaign throughout the year to challenge fans from around the globe to become Climate Champions.
