Hulu has canceled Woke after two seasons. Inspired by the life and work of artist Keith Knight, the comedy series takes an absurdly irreverent look at identity and culture as it follows Keef, an African-American cartoonist finally on the verge of mainstream success when an unexpected incident changes everything. With a fresh outlook on the world around him, Keef must now navigate the new voices and ideas that confront and challenge him, all without setting aflame everything he’s already built. The series starred Lamorne Morris, Blake Anderson, T. Murph, Sasheer Zamata and JB Smoove. 

Moses Ingram has been cast in Apple TV+’s Lady in the Lake. The series is an adaptation of Laura Lippman’s novel of the same name. Ingram joins Natalie Portman in the series and replaces Lupita Nyong’o who recently dropped out of the project. 

The CW is developing a series based on the Archie comics character Jake Chang. The series will not be set in The CW’s Riverdale universe. It would follow an Asian-American sixteen year old private investigator with a soapy and noir feel. 

Nickelodeon has set a premiere date for Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island. The third chapter of the beloved horror anthology miniseries based on the ’90s kids’ cult classic will premiere July 30. Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island follows an all-new Midnight Society as they go on what they thought would be a fun summer vacation on a resort island, until they learn about something sinister haunting the guests. In the just-released teaser, viewers are introduced to the new members of the Midnight Society and get a glimpse at the horrors that await them on their vacation. 

WOW – Women of Wrestling returns this fall after a two year hiatus. Led by the larger-than-life WOW Superheroes and their in-ring rivalries, WOW is an action-packed saga that plays out in explosive live events airing nationally. As the only all-female wrestling organization, WOW showcases supreme athleticism, dramatic and inspiring storylines, and is centered 24/7 around empowering and uplifting women and fans around the world. The excitement continues with new and returning fan-favorite Superheroes like Coach Campanelli, Tonga Twins, Jessie Jones, Kandi Krush, Foxxy Fierce, Americana, Miami’s Sweet Heat and more. Additional details will be announced at a later date. 

Paula Malcomson will star in AMC’s The Driver. She joins Giancarlo Esposito in the series based on a British drama of the same name. 

Funny Girls premieres on Crackle July 1. New Zealand-based sketch comedy show has an ensemble cast made up of a who’s who of rising stars in the comedy world including Rose Matafeo, Jackie van Beek, Kimberly Crossman, Zara Cormack, and Laura Daniel. This original series featuring these rising stars delivers the laughs as a great showcase for cutting-edge young female talent. 

ABC is set to air UFC 276 Prelims July 2. They will also simulcast on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+. In the PPV main event, reigning middleweight champion Israel Adesanya defends his crown against No. 2 ranked contender Jared Cannonier. In the co-main event, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has his sights set on successfully defending his title once again against No. 1 ranked contender Max Holloway. 

AXS TV and Fight Network are set to broadcast MMA event Invicta FC 48 live on July 20. Broadcast live from the ReelWorks venue in Denver, Invicta FC 48 puts the spotlight on world-class female athletes, local stars, and talented up-and-comers, alike, in seven hard-hitting matchups. The evening is headlined by a hotly-anticipated main event title fight, as bantamweight champion Taneisha Tennant – winner of Invicta FC’s Phoenix Tournament 3 – defends her crown for the first time against former Bellator MMA featherweight challenger Olga Rubin in her Invicta debut. 

WildBrain and Peacock are teaming up for a new CGI Caillou series. Five additional 44-minute specials will also stream on PeacockThe series follows the life of Caillou who is learning and growing a little more each day and doesn’t usually get things right on the first try, despite his best efforts.The original preschool series previously aired on PBS and currently airs on Cartoon Network’s Cartoonito block.

HBO Max’s Gossip Girl teased the return of Michelle Trachtenberg‘s Georgina from the original Gossip Girl. Trachteberg appeared in The CW series and her appearance marks one of the biggest returns yet to the sequel series. 

Netflix’s The Girl in the Mirror premieres August 19. After losing her memory in a bizarre accident that kills most of her classmates, Alma tries to unravel what happened that day – and regain her identity. 

Modern Love: Hyderabad premieres on Prime Video July 8. The anthology series is equal parts a study on modern relationships as it is a love letter to the deliciously diverse city of Hyderabad. Each of the 6 stories in the anthology is selected to depict a specific kind of relationship and a different facet of love. Our characters encounter a whole spectrum of challenges; some stories are airy first-world issues while other pieces explore the deepest forms of human anguish. Taken as a whole, the series runs the whole gamut of various forms of love in the modern era.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is set to premiere on Netflix June 29. Brilliant attorney Woo Young-woo tackles challenges in the courtroom and beyond as a newbie at a top law firm and a woman on the autism spectrum. 

Originally set to air on Nickelodeon, Cat Pack: A PAW Patrol Exclusive Event is now streaming on Paramount+ exclusively. The special officially introduces the Cat Pack from Nickelodeon’s smash hit franchise PAW Patrol. Dreaming of being as powerful and heroic as their feline idols (the big cats – the lions, tigers, cheetahs and jaguars), four brave kittens are out to show that little cats can be big heroes!
