Season six of Fox’s 9-1-1 premieres September 19. As always, the new season will kick off with a major event, with a blimp crashing into a packed stadium.

Comedy series Mo premieres on Netflix August 24. Mo Najjar straddles the line between two cultures, three languages and a ton of bullshit as a Palestinian refugee constantly living one step away from asylum on the path to U.S. citizenship. His family – including his resilient and spiritual mother, sister and older brother – flee to Houston, Texas. Laughing the pain away, Mo learns to adapt to his new world though getting ahead in life comes with several setbacks. The first season consists of eight episodes. 

Netflix released the first look at the upcoming Bee and PuppyCat continuation series which premieres September 6. The first season of the web series wrapped in 2016 and the second season will now air on Netflix. The series follows Bee who adopts the mysterious PuppyCat, as she works various jobs to make enough to live on. 

Apple TV+ has ordered a new dramedy series titled Land of Women. The series will star Eva Longoria. The six episode series is inspired by Sandra Barneda’s novel of the same name. Carmen Maura will play Longoria’s mother. The series follows a New York empty nester whose life is turned upside down when her husband implicates the family in financial improprieties, and she is forced to flee the city alongside her aging mother and college-age daughter. To escape the dangerous criminals to whom Gala’s now vanished husband is indebted, the three women hide in the same charming wine town in Northern Spain that Gala’s mother fled 50 years ago, vowing never to return. The women seek to start anew and hope their identities will remain unknown, but gossip in the small town quickly spreads, unraveling their deepest family secrets and truths. 

Chyler Leigh has joined the cast of Hallmark Channel’s The Way Home. Leigh plays Kat Landry, who moved away from her small, Canadian farm town of Port Haven many years ago following a family tragedy, and remains estranged from her mother Del to this day. With her marriage coming to an end and having just been laid off from her job, Kat decides to return home after receiving an unexpected letter from Del urging her to come back. Although her 15-year-old daughter Alice is none-too-thrilled, Kat and her daughter arrive at her family’s farm, though the reunion isn’t what Kat had envisioned. As the three generations of women slowly work on finding their footing as a family, they embark on an enlightening – and surprising – journey none of them could have imagined. The series which also stars Andie MacDowell will premiere in 2023. 

Starz is developing Book of Marlon inspired by Marlon Wayans’ life and career. Wayans will portray himself in the lead role, as a fictionalized version of himself, exploring his professional life as a comedian and actor, as well as his personal life as he attempts to reconcile being a good person and loving father with being Marlon. The project was initially developed at HBO Max before landing at Starz.

Season five of Cobra Kai premieres on Netflix September 9. Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Season 5 finds Terry Silver expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his “No Mercy” style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help. 

Peacock’s A Friend of the Family premieres October 6. The series is based on the harrowing true story of the Broberg family, whose daughter Jan was kidnapped multiple times over a period of years by a charismatic, obsessed family “friend.” The Brobergs – devoted to their faith, family, and community – were utterly unprepared for the sophisticated tactics their neighbor used to exploit their vulnerabilities, drive them apart, and turn their daughter against them. This is the story of how their lives were permanently altered – and how they survived. The limited series consists of nine episodes. 

National Geographic celebrates iconic landscapes across the U.S. this summer in America’s National Parks, premiering August 29. Narrated by Garth Brooks, the five episode series showcases the breathtaking landscape and extraordinary wildlife in parks full of rich surprises and wonder. The series captures not only stunning landscapes and frozen moments in time but intimate glimpses into the lives of the charismatic and intriguing animals that inhabit these parks. First lady Jill Biden will also appear. All episodes will premiere on Disney+ August 31. 

HBO Max is no longer moving forward with the DC project Strange Adventures. The project was announced to be in development back in 2019 with Kevin Smith attached to write and direct. 

Netflix is developing a female bodybuilding drama titled Stronger. The project will star Yvonne Orji. 

Kenan Thompson is set to host the upcoming 74th Emmy Awards. The ceremony will air live on NBC September 12. It will also stream on Peacock. 

FOX Sports will return to Iowa for the MLB’s Field of Dreams game August 11. The Chicago Cubs will take on the Cincinnati Reds. 

Michael Smith will serve as News Analyst for Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football coverage. Smith will deliver and analyze the latest news from around the NFL, and advance pertinent stories with insightful commentary and information throughout Thursday Night Football’s pregame, halftime, and postgame coverage.

VH1’s My True Crime Story returns for season two August 29. The eight-episode series follows ordinary people who got caught up in outrageous, unlawful crimes ranging from drug trafficking and steroid production to counterfeiting and jewelry theft. Host Remy Ma narrates each episode of thrilling tales, told in first-person by the people who lived them. The series sheds light on the rise, fall and redemption of each individual as they tell their unbelievable and scandalous stories.

Little Women premieres on Netflix September 3. Three sisters, who only have each other and never enough money, get entangled in a conspiracy involving the rich and powerful. 

Season two of Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles premieres on Netflix September 1. Yuichi returns as the Samurai Rabbit who must now prove himself worthy to wield the mighty blade willow branch!

The final season of Trolls: TrollsTopia premieres on hulu August 11. In TrollsTopia anything is possible with a little teamwork, glitter and a lot of FUN! When Val’s vacation doesn’t go to plan and R&B’s pancake breakfast falls flat, Poppy and the Trolls get creative. And when Cloud Guy is accepted to Cloud College he embarks on a hunt to find a replacement to annoy Branch in his absence. But does one even exist?! The party never stops!
