Virgin River Season 5 Part 1 premieres on Netflix September 7. Three episode event series The Continental: From the World of John Wick premieres on Peacock September 22. The series will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott, as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.
Season two of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On premieres August 23 on Netflix. The new season features five new couples, on the verge of marriage. One partner in each couple will issue an Ultimatum. In just over eight weeks, each couple will either get married, or get out, after they each choose new potential partners in a life-changing opportunity to get a glimpse of two different futures.
Fox has renewed MasterChef for a fourteenth season. The renewal comes ahead of the series 250th episode August 9. Gordon Ramsay will return as a host and judge alongside acclaimed chef Aarón Sánchez and renowned restaurateur Joe Bastianich.
Comedy series Still Up premieres on Apple TV+ September 22. Starring Antonia Thomas and Craig Roberts, the series is an almost romantic comedy set in the after-hours world of insomniacs Danny and Lisa who have no secrets except their feelings for each other. Also starring in the ensemble cast are Blake Harrison, Lois Chimimba, Luke Fetherston and Rich Fulcher.
Big Brother has removed houseguest Luke Valentine from the series. The move comes following the contestant using a racial slur while on camera. In a statement from CBS, “Luke violated the Big Brother code of conduct and there is zero tolerance in the house for using a racial slur. He has been removed from the house. His departure will be addressed in Thursday night’s show.”
HBO has ordered The Franchise to series. The crew of an unloved franchise movie fight for their place in a savage and unruly cinematic universe. The series shines a light on the secret chaos inside the world of superhero moviemaking, to ask the question – how exactly does the cinematic sausage get made? Because every f*ck-up has an origin story. Himesh Patel and Aya Cash star alongside previously announced cast Jessica Hynes, Billy Magnussen, Lolly Adefope, Darren Goldstein, Isaac Powell, Richard E. Grant, and Daniel Brühl in the half-hour comedy series from Sam Mendes, Armando Iannucci, and Jon Brown.
HGTV’s Good Bones will be ending with its upcoming eighth season. Star Mina Starsiak Hawk made the announcement on her podcast. Mina Starsiak Hawk and her mother and fellow star Karen E Laine are expected to still appear on the network in other projects. The final season will premiere August 15.
Jodi Balfour will not be returning as a series regular for the upcoming fourth season of For All Mankind. Balfour starred in the first three seasons of the Apple TV+ alternate history series. She will make an appearance to wrap up the character’s storyline.
Season three of docuseries NFL Icons premieres on MGM+ October 21. Each episode provides an in-depth and personal exploration of some of the biggest names in football history, showcasing not only their remarkable athleticism, but also the significant impact these icons had on the game and their communities. The docuseries, narrated by award-winning broadcaster Rich Eisen, will tell each legendary figure’s story through a combination of interviews, highlights, mic’d-up sound, and never-before-seen footage.
Special Renovation: Possible will air on HGTV August 16. Starring Robert Irvine, the series will renovate the home of a nurse. The premise is similar to his Food Network series Restaurant: Impossible which recently ended.
