Max has renewed Hacks for a fourth season. The renewal comes on the heels of the third season finale which picked up a year after parting, Deborah Vance is riding high off the success of her standup special while Ava pursues new opportunities back in Los Angeles. 

The fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy will premiere on Netflix August 8. The Hargreeves siblings have scattered after the climactic showdown at the Hotel Oblivion led to a complete reset of their timeline. Stripped of their powers, each is left to fend for themselves and find a new normal – with wildly varying degrees of success. Yet the trappings of their uncanny new world prove too hard to ignore for very long. Their father Reginald, alive and well, has stepped out of the shadows and into the public eye, overseeing a powerful and nefarious business empire. A mysterious association known as The Keepers holds clandestine meetings believing the reality they’re living in is a lie and a great reckoning is coming. As these strange new forces conspire around them, the Umbrella Academy must come together one last time – and risk upsetting the shaky peace they’ve all endured so much to secure – to finally set things right. 

Season two of Pachinko premieres August 23 on Apple TV+. Based on the novel of the same name, the series is a sweeping and deeply moving story of love and survival across four generations. The series is told in three languages – Korean, Japanese, and English.

An animated Minecraft series is coming soon to Netflix. The series will follow an original story with new characters, highlighting the world in a new way.

Mind Your Business premieres June 1 on Bounce. Like many small businesses, the once-prospering 30s-and-older lounge owned by Lucille Williams took a huge pandemic hit, forcing her to close. Lucille’s baby brother, Henry, couldn’t stand by and let Lucille’s Place slip away, so he recruited his fraternal twins, Aaliyah and Alfonso, to keep the business in the family. With Aaliyah’s creative sensibilities and Alfonso’s business mind, a safe space for planning and hosting events was born. Alfonso’s wife, Kimberly, and son, Alfonso Jr. (A.J.), join the event planning team. Even Aaliyah has one of their chosen family members, Mia, join the team; she is a jack of all trades – so she thinks. Although the new-and-improved “Lucille’s” brings everyone together, their affairs end up causing a mess bigger than a college frat party.

Netflix has renewed The Vince Staples Show for a second season. Who’s Vince Staples? Well, that’s a tricky question. He’s kind of famous, but he’s not. He’s kind of rich, but he’s not. He’s also kind of a criminal. But he’s… not? Follow him on his daily adventures, where anything that can go wrong usually does.

Three Women premieres on Starz September 13. The limited series is based on the book of the same name by Lisa Taddeo. The series finds three women on a crash course to radically overturn their lives. Lina, a homemaker in suburban Indiana, is a decade into a passionless marriage when she embarks on an affair that quickly becomes all-consuming and transforms her life. Sloane, a glamorous entrepreneur in the Northeast, has a committed open marriage with Richard, until two sexy new strangers threaten their aspirational love story. Maggie, a student in North Dakota, weathers an intense storm after accusing her married English teacher of an inappropriate relationship. Gia, a writer grieving the loss of her family, persuades each of these three spectacular “ordinary” women to tell her their stories, and her relationships with them change the course of her life forever. 

Netflix has ordered The Undervale. The adult animated comedy series follows a single mother of two who struggles to run a hotel that happens to be haunted. Luckily, she has some help from her estranged brother … who is now one of the ghosts and thinks his fellow phantoms have some pretty good ideas.

Prime Video has ordered animated series Kevin. The series is about a life-long housecat who decides that he doesn’t want to live with people anymore. Loosely inspired by a real break-up and the cat caught in the middle, Kevin dares to ask himself, “Is there a world where I don’t do the owner thing and am just… single for the rest of my life?”

Jay Ellis has joined the cast of Netflix’s Running Point. In the sports comedy series from Mindy Kaling, Ellis stars as a former player and now seasoned Head Coach of the LA Waves whose zen-like approach has led the team to multiple championships.

Paramount+ is no longer going forward with its Dungeons & Dragons live action series. The series was ordered straight to series in 2023. The series will be shopped elsewhere. 

The new season of Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears premieres August 6 on HBO. The new season will mark the 19th edition of the series, delivering all-access coverage at the Chicago Bears training camp in Lake Forest, Illinois this summer. General manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus will be at the helm, guiding 2024’s first overall draft pick, quarterback Caleb Williams, 2024’s ninth overall pick, wide receiver Rome Odunze, and an array of veteran players including DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Jaylon Johnson, and Montez Sweat. 

Netflix unveiled an exciting lineup of new and returning unscripted series, further cementing its status as the ultimate destination for unscripted programming for viewers globally. The Netflix Reality Universe expands with new and returning shows and games based on fan-favorite hits. Selling the City is the newest addition to the “Selling” franchise. In Battle Camp, the greatest stars from across Netflix’s broad slate of reality and doc-series return to face the ultimate physical and mental competition, where a giant spinning wheel randomly decides who stays and who goes. In order to keep your name off that wheel, our returning fan favorites need to be unbeatable in high octane challenges, unbreakable in grueling punishments and, last but certainly not least, unhateable in camp, as everyone has a vote. The player who achieves all three, becomes the ultimate Netflix reality competitor and takes home the $250,000 prize. The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On returns for a third season this December. The Ultimatum: Queer Love has also been renewed for a second season. 

Hallmark is developing a new limited docuseries titled Hallmark Christmas Cruise. Viewers will gain an exclusive look at the immersive Christmas-themed experience that only Hallmark can provide, sharing in the joy and unparalleled excitement of the fan community. The docuseries promises to highlight heartwarming moments with cruisers planning special milestone celebrations onboard.

Director Manolo Caro and actress Cecilia Suárez will once again bring their talents together in Netflix’s Serpientes y Escaleras, a new comedy that revolves around ambition, power, and glory. In this story, filmed in Guadalajara, Cecilia will play a teacher who gets involved in a fight between two students, and what seems to be an insignificant event will completely change her life. 

Season one of The Bear will air its first season on FX starting June 2. The series, currently available only on hulu, will air two episodes on FX each successive night through Wednesday, June 5. Season three premieres on hulu June 27. 

Food Network kicks off the summer Bobby Flay-style with brand-new seasons of hit primetime series Bobby’s Triple Threat and BBQ Brawl. Network icon Flay is a culinary master who has been competing at the highest level for years and in Bobby’s Triple Threat, he has handpicked a trio of top-notch chefs to represent him as the next generation of culinary titans. Each episode is hosted by Bobby from his speakeasy-style kitchen, where titans Tiffany Derry, Michael Voltaggio and Brooke Williamson take on highly skilled competitors in three head-to-head cooking rounds with surprise featured ingredients for a chance to win $25,000. In BBQ Brawl, the competition returns to Texas where Bobby is joined by Sunny Anderson and, for the first time, Michael Voltaggio to coach a roster of the best pitmasters from across the country in high-stakes challenges to determine who will be named “Master of ‘Cue.” Each superstar chef leads their own team of competitors through ten episodes of intense BBQ challenges where judges Carson Kressley, Rodney Scott and Brooke Williamson determine the most and least successful dishes.

Docuseries Life on Our Planet will return with an evolution of the franchise. The new, four-episode Netflix untitled documentary series will tell the story of the rise and fall of the dinosaurs – where they came from, why they mattered, how they evolved and how they met their ultimate fate. The new series will once again be narrated by Morgan Freeman. 

Houses of Horror: Secrets of College Greek Life premieres August 12 on A&E. The series exposes the dark side of Greek Row and its impact on some of the young men and women who participate. Each one-hour episode features first-hand accounts of how the power, control, and secrecy of fraternities and sororities can create a cult-like dynamic leading to an environment where nefarious activity – from drug use to sexual assault-is able to thrive. Through exclusive sit-down interviews with those involved including former fraternity and sorority members, family, law enforcement and experts, the series details how these organizations that seemingly offer acceptance and community for young people have far-reaching consequences that can turn dangerous, and even deadly. 

BET, a Netflix live-action adaptation of the thriller manga Kakegurui is now in production. The series takes place at a boarding school for the global elite where underground gambling determines the social hierarchy is upended by the arrival of a mysterious transfer student. It stars Miku Martineau, Ayo Solanke, Eve Edwards, Clara Alexandrova, Hunter Cardinal, Anwen O’Driscoll, Aviva Mongillo, Ryan Sutherland.

Emily Alyn Lind, Shubham Maheshwari, Esther MacGregor, and Joseph Zada have been cast in Prime Video’s We Were Liars. The series is based on the novel by E. Lockhart. It is a tragic love story and an amnesia thriller set on a privately owned island off the coast of Massachusetts.

Season fifteen of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles premieres July 10 on Bravo. After a couple of significantly groundbreaking years in Los Angeles luxury real estate, the housing market has taken a turn for the worse. Between high interest rates, the “Mansion Tax” and a low inventory of homes, the city’s hottest agents Josh Altman, Josh Flagg and Tracy Tutor are back and feeling a new kind of heat. Stuck in the middle of a shaky market, deals are dragging out, taking much longer to close than before. The agents find themselves accepting deals they never would have previously and getting more innovative with their strategies, employing any means necessary to close the deal. 

Season three of Kota Factory is coming soon to Netflix. In a city of coaching centers known to train India’s finest collegiate minds, an earnest but unexceptional student and his friends navigate campus life.

Expedition Unknown returns June 19 on Discovery Channel. Global adventurer Josh Gates explores some of the biggest mysteries yet. 

The Whirlwind premieres June 28 on Netflix. A whirlwind clash ensues when a deputy prime minister of economy stands against the prime minister who aims to uproot the corrupt powers that be.

House of Heat premieres June 6 on Tubi. A group of sexy adult content creators move in together to help grow each other’s businesses. And in this house, they better bring the heat!

No Time to Spy: A Loud House Movie premieres June 21 on Nickelodeon and Paramount+.
