The Artful Dodger has been renewed for a second season at hulu. The eight-episode second season has an all-star returning cast including Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Jack Dawkins aka The Artful Dodger, David Thewlis as Fagin, and Maia Mitchell as Lady Belle Fox. They team up with a full ensemble of Australian and New Zealand cast and several new faces in exciting cameos. It is an irreverent follow-up to Charles Dickens’ “Oliver Twist” exploring his adult double life in the far-flung penal colony of Port Victory, Australia. It is a tale of reinvention, betrayal, redemption, and love with a twist. Jack Dawkins is The Artful Dodger, whose fast, pickpocketing fingers have turned into the skilled hands of a surgeon. Lady Belle, the Governor’s daughter, is a brilliant and captivating woman who captures Dodger’s heart and is determined to make history as the first female surgeon. In the first season, Dodger is torn between the promise of an impossible love in high society, and the instinctive temptation of the criminal underworld he secretly craves. His past returns to haunt him with the arrival of Fagin, luring him back for one last heist. The new season will pick up where the heart’s desires of Dodger, Fagin and Lady Belle left off, promising more cunning thievery, snappy humor, life-and-death surgeries, and romance with a twist.
Netflix has renewed A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder for a second season. The series is based on the mystery YA novels by Holly Jackson. After solving the Andie Bell case Pip’s world has been transformed by her actions, and not always for the better. Pip is determined to fix the fallout – and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings’ trial approaches, key witness Jamie Reynolds suddenly disappears and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him. This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice, straying even further from the ‘good girl’ she once was.
Crime Drama Dope Thief premieres March 14 on Apple TV+. Based on Dennis Tafoya’s book of the same name, the series follows long-time Philly friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside, only to have their small-time grift become a life-and-death enterprise, as they unwittingly reveal and unravel the biggest hidden narcotics corridor on the Eastern Seaboard.
A third Star Wars: Visions volume is in the works at Disney+. The nine episodes will be produced by Japanese anime studios, David Production, Kamikaze Douga, ANIMA, Kinema citrus Co., Polygon Pictures, Production I.G, Project Studio Q, TRIGGER and WIT Studio, as was the case in the first volume. The second volume of the anthology series featured assorted international studios.
FX’s Alien: Earth will stream on hulu summer 2025. When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat. As members of the crash recovery crew search for survivors among the wreckage, they encounter mysterious predatory life forms more terrifying than they could have ever imagined. Four episode limited series Dream Productions premieres December 11 on Disney+. Taking place in between the events of “Inside Out” and “Inside Out 2”, the series follows the studio inside Riley’s mind where dreams really do come true – every night, on time and on budget. Riley is growing up and when her memories need some extra processing, Joy and the rest of the Core Emotions send them to Dream Productions. After 35 years, Pamela Hayden, who has given voice to Bart’s best friend Milhouse on The Simpsons, along with many other characters, has opted to retire from her character voice work. Her final episode airs November 24 on Fox. Milhouse first appeared in a Butterfinger commercial in 1989 and was named for the former U.S. president Richard Milhous Nixon.
LEGO Masters: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular returns for season three December 17 on Fox. Host Will Arnett returns alongside Brickmasters Amy Corbett and Jamie Berard as judges for the third installment of the holiday-themed event special. The two-night event series, airing over two weeks, will coldly go where no snowman has gone before, with unpredictable twists and surprises. Special celebrity guests include Sophia Bush, Holly Robinson Peete, Eric McCormack and Lil Rel Howery pairing up with fan-favorite former contestants – Christine Blandino (Season 3), Stephen Joo (Season 3), Aaron Newman (Season 1) and Corey D. Samuels (Season 1) – to compete in jaw-dropping holiday-themed challenges for charities of their choice. Storm Reid will not be returning to Euphoria. Reid had appeared in the first two seasons of the HBO series which will begin production on the delayed third season in January.
Gabriel Macht will recur in the upcoming Suits spinoff series Suits: LA. Macht played Harvey Specter in the original series. The spinoff will premiere February 23 on NBC.

Hosts and judges, Duff Goldman and Kardea Brown, welcome a new field of talented kid bakers to the kitchen for challenges inspired by creatures big and small, including a few fluffy, furry and feathery friends who drop in to the kitchen for live appearances over the course of the season. The Sidemen, one of the biggest YouTube groups in the UK, are coming to Netflix. Earlier this year, The Sidemen launched Inside, their first long-form reality show on YouTube. The series featured ten influencers and reality stars confined to a house for a week, vying for a prize of up to £1 million. Season two of Inside will debut exclusively on Netflix. Production has already begun in the UK with 12 content creators. A US version of Inside will also air on Netflix in 2025.

The well-capitalized independent company (“SpinCo”) will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content.

Disney, ESPN and the NBA are teaming up to present Dunk the Halls – the first real-time animated NBA game using Sony’s Beyond Sports technology – on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, at noon ET when the New York Knicks – led by Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns – host the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama and Chris Paul.
