The Jetty premieres December 13 on hulu. While investigating a case of arson in a sleepy lakeside town, Detective Ember Manning gets drawn to the mysterious disappearance of a teenage girl, and a world of secrets and illicit affairs. Soon, the trail to the cold case murderer seems to lead straight to her doorstep. Was her late husband the killer? The truth will turn out to be so much worse. 

Paul Mescal is set to host Saturday Night Live December 7. Shaboozey will serve as musical guest on the NBC late night series. 

Season two of Rogue Heroes premieres January 12 on MGM+. The series follows David Stirling and Paddy Mayne in a dramatized account of how the British Army’s Special Air Service (SAS) unit was formed in the darkest days of World War II. In the second season, facing the threat of disbandment, SAS Rogue Heroes will see the unit trying to once again prove their significance. However, a surprise ally is found in the uptight and formal brother of David Stirling – William. Will the fiery Paddy Mayne finally conform to following rules in order to protect the future of the unit, or will his dislike for authority be too significant an obstacle? 

Love Never Lies: South Africa Reunion premieres December 8 on Netflix. Liars and lovelies mark your calendars for answers to all your questions. 

Paddy Considine, Lara Pulver, Joanne Froggatt, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, and Jasmine Jobson have joined the cast of the upcoming New Guy Ritchie Project. They join previously announced Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren in the Paramount+ with Showtime global crime drama series. It is centered around two warring families based in London whose enterprises stretch all corners of the globe and the fiercely loyal “fixer” charged with protecting one of them at all costs. 

A new three-part One Chicago crossover event is set to air January 29 from 8-11 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Chicago Fire will kick things off at 8 p.m., followed by Chicago Med at 9 p.m. and concluding with Chicago P.D. at 10 p.m. This is the first time the three series have crossover since 2019. When a gas explosion rocks a high-rise, Chicago’s first responders come out in force to rescue hundreds of civilians. It’s the calamity beneath the surface, however, that sends our heroes on a race to save 40 people trapped deep underground, including two of their own. 

Season two of The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse will premiere January 30 on Netflix. As a prophecy of doom unfolds on the peaceful land of Britannia, a purehearted boy sets out on a journey of discovery — and revenge.

Hotel renovation series Betting on Paradise premieres January 7 on HGTV. While seeking the “Pura Vida” way of life in idyllic Costa Rica, Luke Shantz and Steph Sitt will risk it all on a high-stakes hotel transformation. During the six one-hour episodes, the couple, with two young daughters in tow, will embark on their biggest and scariest adventure yet – moving sight unseen to the coastal town of Jacó and buying a crumbling piece of prime real estate with the dream of creating a luxury boutique hotel. With the financial backing of friends and investors on the line, Luke will employ his construction background and years working in trades and Steph will tap into her high-end hospitality experience to overcome massive structural issues, frustrating delays and shocking budget increases to bring Hotel Amavi to life in time for peak tourist season. 

CNN will once again ring in the new year with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen. The celebration will air live from Times Square on December 31. 

A&E and WWE announced an expansion of its programming partnership which will include the debut of WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats), a new competition series. It features in-ring matches along with a behind-the-scenes look at rising talent vying for a coveted WWE contract while being mentored by WWE Legends such as Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Booker T. WWE & A&E will also launch WWE’s Greatest Moments, a series that will provide fans a front-row seat to relive the iconic events that have shaped WWE history. A new season of the hit-series WWE Rivals will also complement this winter’s WWE programming slate on A&E, which will add more than 180 hours of original content over the next three years. 

Production has begun on the upcoming third season of The Thaw. The six-episode season of the Max drama is set in Szczecin. It begins with investigations into drug dealings among teenagers. 

HBO series Like Water for Chocolate has been renewed for a second season. The series explores the idea that sometimes traditions can become a prison, an obstacle for love. Tita de la Garza and Pedro Múzquiz are two souls deeply in love, yet unable to be together due to entrenched family customs. The protagonists navigate a world of magical realism and rich flavors as Tita struggles between the destiny imposed on her by her family and her fight for love. Along the way, the audience will witness her greatest refuge: the kitchen. For Tita, her magical connection to cooking becomes an active resistance against oppression, allowing her to channel her deepest desires and passions into her recipes, transforming those who taste them. Set during the Mexican Revolution, the series also addresses the struggle of women to control their own destinies. The breathtaking locations in Tlaxcala and Mexico City provide an authentic and powerful backdrop for this adaptation of a beloved Mexican literary classic. 

Max is expanding the Turner Classic Movies (TCM) hub initiative in the U.S., which will add new classic movies showcased in bespoke curations throughout 2025. Quintessential TCM titles are now available to stream with hundreds of new titles and monthly stunts rolling out on the streaming platform beginning this December.

The Real Full Monty premieres December 9 on Fox. Inspired by the beloved, award-winning 1997 film, the two-hour special sees a daring group of male celebrities volunteer to bare all to raise awareness for prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer testing and research. Anthony Anderson rallies a cast of male celebrities, including himself, Taye Diggs, Chris Jones, Tyler Posey, Bruno Tonioli, and James Van Der Beek to encourage men to get checked and strip the stigma around prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer. 

Cassandra premieres February 6 on Netflix. A family moves into a vintage smart home and discovers that it’s under the control of a virtual assistant – who will stop at nothing to keep them there.

Love After Lockup: Crime Story premieres in February on WE tv. The limited series highlights Love After Lockup cast favorites from the past and present to reveal what led them to a life of crime and what landed them behind bars. We have seen them walk out of prison gates and into the arms of loved ones, but who were they before prison? In-depth interviews provide a no-holds-barred look at the pre-prison life of the franchise’s most loved and notorious characters as they return to the scene of the crime, reflect on their origin stories and how far they’ve come. Docuseries Glitter and Greed: The Lisa Frank is now streaming on Prime Video. Jo Nesbøs Harry Hole will premiere on Netflix in 2026. The series is a whodunnit serial killer mystery led by famed anti-hero Harry Hole. Underneath the surface, this series is a nuanced character drama about two police officers – and supposed colleagues – operating on opposite sides of the law. Throughout the first season, Harry goes head-to-head with his long-time adversary and corrupt detective Tom Waaler.
