Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour will reunite in a new Netflix spy drama series which received a straight to series order. In the series, disgraced FBI agent turned security expert Matt Wolfe (Harbour) is drawn back into the world he left behind when his estranged daughter, Rebecca (Brown) – now an FBI agent determined to follow in his footsteps – vanishes on a mission, forcing him to return to a field that has evolved beyond him.
Adult Swim has greenlit Heist Brothers, a new high-octane animated action comedy from Genndy Tartakovsky. Tartakovsky originally pitched Heist Brothers live onstage to Adult Swim President Michael Ouweleen during the network’s Studio Focus Panel in 2024. Announced as in development as Heist_Safari at last year’s Annecy, that pitch has now come to fruition with Heist Brothers officially receiving a full-season order for Adult Swim. The series tells the story of three Frog brothers robbing a bank. Seems simple enough, but the execution is special as !#&$??!!!!
An animated Dark Shadows series is currently in development. The series continues the saga of the Collins family. Blending gothic, horror, and supernatural genres, this coming adaptation promises all the dark twists and romantic intrigue that defined the transformational series across its 1200-plus episode run.
Robot Chicken will return with two new specials – this time turning the spotlight on its own network. The fan favorite parody series will celebrate Adult Swim’s 25 year milestone with Robot Chicken Adult Swim Special, premiering Sunday, August 30 ET/PT on Adult Swim. The special skewers the network’s legacy with the show’s signature rapid fire sketches, taking on some of Adult Swim’s most iconic series, characters, and moments. The celebrated stop motion series is also in production on a second special, this one setting its sights on Cartoon Network’s legendary series and characters. The special will commemorate Cartoon Networks’ 35th anniversary with a debut planned for 2027.
Netflix has canceled Building The Band after one season. The series brings together talented singers for a truly unique competition show where building the perfect band is all about chemistry. Snowball Earth will return for a second season. The series streams on hulu and Netflix in the US. Tetsuo is a shy boy whose only companion is Yukio, a giant robot who once fought beside him to save Earth from invading monsters. Ten years after the final battle, Tetsuo returns home to a planet transformed—buried beneath endless snow and ice. In this frozen world, he sets out alone, holding tight to the promise he made to Yukio and searching for what remains of the world they once protected.
Record of Ragnarok will return for a fourth season. The series stream on Netflix in the US.

Production has begun on a new three-episode installment of The Monster of Florence story. This new chapter expands the narrative surrounding the Monster of Florence case by focusing on the “Snack Buddies” lead and, in particular, on the figure of Pietro Pacciani, the alleged Monster of Florence and the primary suspect in the investigation into the eight double murders that gripped Italy in terror between 1968 and 1985. A figure as scrutinized by the media as he was shrouded in mystery, Pacciani was at the center of a marathon trial filled with unexpected twists and turns.
MS NOW’s The Weekend: Primetime will be ending June 27. Co-anchor Antonia Hylton will take over the weekend 1-4 slot, replacing Alex Witt, who is departing the network. Ayman Mohyeldin, Elise Jordan and Catherine Rampell, The Weekend: Primetime co-anchors, will remain at the network. The network will also utilize podcast on air in the place of live programming on the weekends going forward.
