Netflix has renewed A Different World for a second season. After transformative summers, Deborah and her Hillman classmates return to campus for sophomore year with a “New Year, New Me” attitude, only to find themselves faced with past decisions, uncertain futures, new loves and friendships, and deeper questions of purpose… all while, of course, getting themselves into a whole lot of new mess. Season 1 premiered September 24th, following Deborah, Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert’s free-spirited, well-intentioned, yet rebellious youngest child, during her freshman year at Hillman College alongside a whole new generation of Hillman’s best and brightest. 

Season two of The Forsytes will premiere on PBS in 2027. Soames is determined to take total control of the family empire, but holding onto the Forsyte name comes at a heavy cost. Between Jolyon’s double life, bitter rivalries, and secret rebellions, the family’s picture-perfect legacy is starting to fracture from the inside out. Inspired by John Galsworthy’s celebrated Forsyte Saga novels, the series chronicles the trials and triumphs of a wealthy Victorian stockbroking family torn between tradition and the personal pursuit of happiness. 

The English dub of #I’m Looking For a Zombie premieres October 3 on Crunchyroll. Thirteen years ago, a mysterious illness infected 90 percent of humanity, but Aki’s too young to remember the world before the apocalypse. Instead, what she cares about is finding her dad! Along with her friends, Haru and Natsu, Aki leaves her village for the world outside and its many wonders: lush nature, feats of human ingenuity…and hordes of zombies!!

Saturday Night Live is new this week, October 3, with host Dakota Johnson. Turnstile will serve as musical guest on NBC’s late night series. 

The English dub of Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship! premieres October 4 on Crunchyroll. When Satou Takahiro is swept away from his ordinary life into the world of his favorite video game, a universe of space battles, interstellar colonies, and danger in the vastness of outer space awaits. Soon, he’s living as “Hiro” the mercenary, with a tricked-out spaceship and a babe on each arm! There are space pirates to fight, girls to rescue, and trouble to get into (and hopefully out of). Hiro is going to live his new life to the fullest!

Peacock has greenlit a TV series based on the Fast and Furious franchise. The project comes from Mike Daniels, and Wolfe Coleman with Vin Diesel involved. 

More cast have been announced for HBO’s The Trial of Louise Woodward. Joining the series are Natalia Dyer, Jack Reynor and John Magaro. 

Following the premiere of Get Jiro October 17 at midnight on adult swim’s Toonami block, there will also be the broadcast premieres of Wind Breaker and Gachiakuta. New episodes of One Piece will continue airing at 1:30, followed by the re-airing of IGPX season two. Repeats of Lazarus will follow at 2, with Blue Exorcist at 2:30. A re-air of Get Jiro will close the night at 3:30. 

Production is set to begin on season two of The Watcher. Season one stars Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale, Margo Martindale, and Isabel Gravitt will return and reprise their respective roles of Nora Brannock, Dean Brannock, Maureen (“Mo”), and Ellie Brannock. Season one followed the Brannock family who moved into what was supposed to be their suburban dream home, and quickly became a living hell. Ominous letters from someone calling themself “The Watcher” were just the beginning as the neighborhood’s sinister secrets came spilling out. 

A new season of The Curse of Oak Island and new series History’s Mystery Files premieres November 10 on The History Channel. After more than a decade of searching, The Curse of Oak Island‘s Rick and Marty Lagina believe they’ve never been closer to solving the Oak Island mystery. But after dedicating so much of their lives to the search, the brothers know the window to fulfill their lifelong dream won’t stay open forever. Netflix has ordered reality competition series Plex: Última Partida. On a remote island, a group of players will compete for victory in a reality competition and strategy show governed by Plex’s rules.   

TNT Sports will be the exclusive home of the 2026 American League Division Series presented by Booking.com and the American League Championship Series simulcast on TBS, truTV and HBO Max. This Saturday, October 3, seven-time All-Star José Ramírez and Steven Kwan will lead the Cleveland Guardians against Colson Montgomery, Miguel Vargas and the Chicago White Sox in a division rival showdown, starting at 1 p.m. Alex Faust and Ron Darling will provide commentary for the series, with reporter Lauren Jbara. Ben Rice and the New York Yankees continue their Postseason quest as they square off against the AL-leading Tampa Bay Rays, powered by AL MVP candidate Junior Caminero and pitcher Drew Rasmussen starting at 6:30 p.m. The series will be called by Brian Anderson and Jeff Francoeur, with reporter Lauren Shehadi.

A Couple of Lies premieres October 30 on Netflix. Helene and Carl trade their home in Stockholm’s archipelago for a sun-drenched villa in Sicily, swapping lives for some weeks with Scarlett and Adam; a couple they’ve never met. But as they settle into each other’s houses, unsettling details begin to surface. As secrets emerge and hidden betrayals come to light, what started as a picture‑perfect escape slowly warps into a twisted game of surveillance, manipulation and mistrust. 

Baywatch premieres on Fox this January. The series will celebrate the franchise’s enduring legacy, while re-energizing it for today’s global audience. Fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original – now with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline. The new Baywatch finds wild-child legacy character HOBIE BUCHANNON (Stephen Amell) serving as a Baywatch Captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch. Hobie’s world is turned upside down when his daughter CHARLIE VALE (Jessica Belkin) shows up on his doorstep eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy. The series also stars Hassie Harrison as NAT, Shay Mitchell as TRINA, Thaddeus LaGrone as BRAD, Noah Beck as LUKE, and Brooks Nader as SELENE. In recurring roles, Livvy Dunne will make her acting debut as GRACE and David Chokachi will reprise his original series character of CODY MADISON. 

The English dub of FX Fighter Kurumi-chan premieres October 1 on Crunchyroll. Buy! Sell! Profit…or lose it all! University student Kurumi Fukuga jumps into the fast-moving world of foreign exchange trading to recover the 20 million yen her late mother lost. Together with fellow FX enthusiasts Mochiko, Mebuki, and Yasuko, she’ll battle volatile markets where every decision can lead to fortune—or disaster!

Animated sports fantasy series Messi and the Giants premieres Summer 2027 on Disney+ and Disney Channel. The series follows a 12-year-old named Leo who becomes trapped in an alternate reality ruled by giants. To get home, he must compete in high-stakes, soccer-like battles using powerful “orbs,” defeat legendary giants, and restore the fractured realms of “Iko”. Unlike everyone else, Leo can’t use the world’s code powers to supercharge his game, so he relies on his real strengths – skill, teamwork and determination – turning the story into an underdog adventure about courage, perseverance and believing in yourself.
