Season three of Happy’s Place premieres October 23 on NBC. The new season will build on the demise of the romantic aspect of the relationship between Emmett and Bobbie, but will it really come to an end and stay in the “friend zone”? Isabella’s speakeasy takes off and the success of it affects how she decides to move through the world both professionally and personally. As for Gabby, her mother has moved to Knoxville and they are now living together so that relationship will be tested. Steve will decide it’s time to start living his life and not continue to hide behind his OCD. Takoda will have challenges that will affect the way people at the bar perceive him. One thing we know for sure, they will all be there for each other.
Season two of The Institute premieres November 8 om MGM+. The new season picks up Luke Ellis, Tim Jamieson, and their fellow survivors in the immediate aftermath of Season One’s explosive climax as they work to expose the Institute’s crimes while staying one step ahead of the army of killers on their tail. Meanwhile, the ruthless and calculating Ms. Sigsby pursues her quest for vengeance and a return to power, in the process discovering more about the deep inner workings of the Institute than she ever could have imagined.
Barbershop premieres February 10, 2027 on Prime Video. The comedy series inspired by the beloved film franchise will premiere all eight episodes. Travis “Trav” Walker (Jermaine Fowler) returns to Chicago hoping to honor his grandfather’s legacy at the iconic Calvin’s barbershop, but the shop has changed, and so has the city. As Trav struggles to find his place among a new crew of barbers and loyal customers, Calvin’s remains what it’s always been, a place for sharp fades, sharp opinions, and a community that always has something to say.
Season twelve of Southern Charm premieres on Bravo November 12. Charmers Venita Aspen, Salley Carson, Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, Madison LeCroy, Molly O’Connell, Rodrigo Reyes, Whitner Slagsvol and Shep Rose return. Allie Newman, a Charleston-based model, friend of Venita’s and former flame of Austen’s, joins the group and sparks a hot-and-cold flirtation with one of the guys. Patricia Altschul, the Grand Dame of Charleston, celebrates a milestone birthday this season and is still throwing lavish parties everyone wants an invite to. Meanwhile, her son Whitney-Sudler Smith has inherited her mansion in Charleston and is keeping the family legacy alive. Also making appearances are Charley Manley, who has a new boyfriend to show off, and Taylor Ann Green, who surprises Shep with a text out of the blue. After a reunion where the status of friendships and situationships remained ambiguous, the Charmers are determined to define their relationships and mend wounds. However, when true feelings bubble up and juicy rumors catch fire, the group seeks to unveil the truth – even if it costs them more than just friendships.
Apple TV has renewed Imperfect Women for a second season. The series is returning for a compelling new chapter set on Martha’s Vineyard that will revolve around fan-favorite character Eleanor, played by Kerry Washington, who will reprise her role. The new season will be based on an original idea. Based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name, the series examines a crime that shatters the lives of a decades-long friendship of three women. In season two, Eleanor (Washington) returns to her hometown roots in the affluent black enclave of Martha’s Vineyard, only to find that beneath its idyllic surface, lie secrets and scandals that threaten to upend everything she thought she knew about her past.
Tulsa King has been renewed for a fifth season on Paramount+. The renewal comes ahead of the fourth season premiere October 16. Season five of Tulsa King will return to Dwight “The General” Manfredi’s mafia roots, relocating production from Atlanta to New York to coincide with the Season Five storyline, with production now underway. Season Five’s New York move will also see Scarlet Rose Stallone, who has played Spencer on all four seasons of the series, upped to a series regular. Joining the cast in series regular roles are Erik Palladino, Glenn Fleshler, Anthony Skordi, and Nickola Shreli.
Bloodaxe is coming soon to Prime Video. In Season One, Bloodaxe chronicles the rise of one of history’s most famous Norse raiders, Erik Bloodaxe (Xavier Molyneux), and his formidable wife Gunnhild, Mother of Kings (Jessica Madsen). As they fight for the throne of Norway, the land is torn apart by fierce rivals, shifting loyalties, and bloody betrayals. The series has been renewed for a second season ahead of its series premiere.
Season three of Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking premieres November 4 on Food Network. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the iconic first film in the series, the new season introduces a tournament twist with four teams of three, each representing one of the four Hogwarts Houses – Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Comprised of returning competitors, each team will feature cake artists, bakers, and pastry chefs, who have previously proven their talent and passion for Harry Potter, though none has ever lifted the Wizards of Baking Cup in victory. Also new this season, hosts James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley) are joined by two new “Ministers of Baking,” cake royalty Duff Goldman and celebrated pastry chef Sarah Mountain who will judge the teams’ showpieces and determine which House will earn the trophy and a once-in-a-lifetime VIP trip to Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter (also known as Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo).
The third and final season of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us premieres December 9 on Prime Video. Ruby is on the brink of ruin: she has been suspended from Maxton Hall College, and her dream of Oxford is in jeopardy. BritBox revealed additional casting for the forthcoming six-part series Hercule. Joining the Agatha Christie limited series are Jessica Alexander, Honor Swinton Byrne, Omari Douglas, Paul Forman, Arthur Hughes, Ralf Little, River Medway, Katherine Parkinson, Natalie Quarry, and Toby Stephens. The series is an intimate study of Hercule Poirot, the man and an epic portrait of Britain between the wars. Hercule will center around three of Christie’s early stories, while also introducing Hercule Poirot to future friends and allies and one particular nemesis.
Prime Video announced casting for Things We Never Got Over, the series adaptation of Lucy Score’s novel. Joining are Sean Teale, Sarah Jeffery, Megan Stott, Lili Simmons, Anthony Keyvan, JoBeth Williams. When runaway bride Naomi Witt arrives in the quirky town of Knockemout, Virginia, she expects to rescue her estranged twin and return to the life she left behind. Instead, her sister disappears, leaving Naomi with a niece she never knew existed, a town full of irresistible characters – including charming local sheriff Nash Morgan and his decidedly grumpy but infuriatingly sexy brother Knox Morgan – and a future she never imagined.
Sumukhi Suresh’s first Netflix stand-up special, Hoemonal, premieres October 14. BET announced the Soul Train Awards 2026 nominees, kicking off fan voting for the reimagined show. For the first time, fans will have a say in who takes home the trophies, with two new fan-voted categories: R&B/Soul Song of the Year, with voting on BET.com and Spotify’s RNB X International Artist, with voting in the Spotify app. Voting is open now through Oct. 16, and fans can see who takes home the trophies Friday, Nov. 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET, with a simulcast on CBS, BET Her, VH1, MTV2, and LOGO. Fans can also vote through Oct. 16 for The 20 Greatest R&B Songs of the 2020s, with the final ranking revealed ahead of the ceremony during the Soul Train Awards Red Carpet Show: “Back on Track” streaming on YouTube and Facebook.
The Country Music Association (CMA) and ABC revealed today the star-studded lineup of artists set to perform in CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton, the two-hour live television tribute to Dolly Parton set to air October 21 on ABC. Ashley McBryde, Béla Fleck, Brad Paisley, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Ella Langley, Kelsea Ballerini, Kristen Bell, Kristin Chenoweth, Lady A, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town, Lukas Nelson, Molly Tuttle, Reba McEntire, Ricky Skaggs, Sierra Hull, Vince Gill and Zac Brown will perform, with Amy Grant and Kimberly Williams-Paisley joining as special guests. A Belmont University student ensemble will also participate in a performance, reflecting the university’s ongoing “Dolly U” programming that seeks to engage students in learning from Parton’s career, artistry and entrepreneurial legacy. Additional surprise tributes from friends across the entertainment world will also be featured throughout the special.
The WNBA Playoffs return to NBC Sports for the first time since 2002 beginning tomorrow, Sunday, Oct. 4, with a star-studded WNBA Semifinals series featuring four-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson and the defending champion No. 3 seed Las Vegas Aces visiting two-time WNBA All-Star Gabby Williams and the No. 2 seed Golden State Valkyries in Game 1 of the Semifinals at 4 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. NBC Sports will present up to seven games of live coverage throughout the Semifinals and WNBA Finals. Zora Stephenson (play-by-play), former DePaul basketball player Sarah Kustok (analyst), and Ashley ShahAhmadi (courtside reporter) will call every WNBA Playoffs and Finals games for NBC Sports. Across the Playoffs, WNBA Showtime studio coverage will feature Naismith Basketball Hall of Famers Sue Bird and Cheryl Miller and contributions from eight-time WNBA All-Star Tina Charles, with Maria Taylor and LaChina Robinson as studio hosts.
NBC Sports will present a slate of nearly 65 BIG EAST basketball regular-season and tournament games this season, with 47 BIG EAST men’s games and 16 women’s games presented across NBC, Peacock and NBCSN. NBC Sports’ BIG EAST men’s basketball schedule tips off on Monday, Nov. 2, as Preseason BIG EAST Player of the Year Silas Demary Jr. and UConn host Gardner-Webb at 9 p.m. ET from Peoples Bank Arena in Hartford, Conn. on Peacock. Last year, the Huskies advanced to their third National Championship game in four years and finished the season ranked No. 2 nationally. Two BIG EAST men’s games will be presented live on NBC and Peacock this season, featuring Creighton hosting UConn on Sunday, Jan. 3 at 2 p.m. ET and a father-son head coaching matchup as Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame head coach Rick Pitino and St. John’s host Richard Pitino and Xavier at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. ET. St. John’s finished the 2025-26 season with a 30-7 record and made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 for the first time since 1999.
