Another new face is coming to Genoa City! Former Jane By Design star Matthew Atkinson is joining the cast of CBS’ The Young and the Restless in a new recurring role!
The hunky actor will play Austin, a cameraman working with Avery (Jessica Collins) on a new venture, reports Soap Opera Digest. Atkinson will first air April 17 in scenes with Avery and Dylan (Steve Burton).
The Young and the Restless is Matthew Atkinson’s first foray into daytime. Previous credits include One Tree Hill, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Drop Dead Diva, Parenthood.
Having checked out Atkinson’s work on Jane By Design, I’m hoping the show finds use for him long term. He was quite charming as Jane’s longtime crush, Nick. And lord knows Summer (Hunter King) could use a man (Fen too).
