Ever since The CW’s fall premiere of its updated version of Beverly Hill 90210, people have speculated whether a reboot Melrose Place could be far behind. Turns out, they were right.
The reboot of Beverly Hills 90210 – now simply titled 90210 – turned out to be a hit for the struggling network and became the first new series of the season to get a full season pick up. The seasons for some of their popular shows have been extended two more episodes beyond the normal season run.
Not many details have come out as of yet about the reboot of Melrose Place, a spinoff of the original 90210 on the FOX network that ran for seven seasons. So far it’s been reported that original creator Darren Starr will not be involved. Lisa Rinna, who played Melrose psycho Taylor McBride, has said she would be open to a return.
Who would you like to see return for Melrose Place? I personally think the CW should try and lure Tiffani Thiessen to reprise her Beverly Hills 90210 role as Valerie Malone to be the owner of the apartment complex. Or maybe bring over Shannen Doherty to head up the place as Brenda?
