Fans of the NBC sitcom hit 30 Rock are in for an exciting and fun ride this season. In her first return to television since Friends ended, NBC is confirming that Jennifer Anniston will appear in the Tina Fey produced/created hit. It is unclear whether Jennifer is playing herself, which several of the guest stars do, or as a new character.

Fans of the NBC sitcom hit 30 Rock are in for an exciting and fun ride this season. In her first return to television since Friends ended, NBC is confirming that Jennifer Anniston will appear in the Tina Fey produced/created hit. It is unclear whether Jennifer is playing herself, which several of the guest stars do, or as a new character. Aniston is not the first ex-Friend to appear on 30 Rock. David Schwimer appeared as Greenzo in the environmental episode of last season.
Aniston is a long time daytime “Friend” as well. Her father, John Aniston, has played Victor Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives on and off for decades. John also spent six years on Search For Tomorrow and has guest starred on The West Wing and American Dreams.
In other 30 Rock news, Will Arnett will return as Devin Banks, the scheming nemesis of Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin). Arnett is up for a Primetime Emmy for this role and will appear in the season premiere episode airing October 30.
Though there is no official word on when Anniston will appear on the show, but sources close to production expect it to be either the first or second episode.
