Episode five of HBO’s The Last of Us will premiere early on February 10 on HBO Max. It will still make its linear premiere on February 12. New episodes of the series will continue to air Sundays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max, leading up to the season finale on March 12. The series takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.
Showtime has given a straight to series order for Dexter: Origins, a Dexter prequel series. The network is also developing a followup to Dexter: New Blood which would follow Dexter’s son Harrison. The network is also exploring projects based on other characters from the Dexter universe, such as the makings of the notorious Trinity Killer.
Yellowstone in its current form may be coming to an end. Paramount is in discussions to continue the Dutton story in a new series starring Matthew McConaughey, possibly bringing on current Yellowstone cast members as well. The news comes following reports star Kevin Costner has been difficult with regards to filming schedules. The current fifth season returns with new episodes this summer on Paramount Network.
Animated series Agent Elvis will premiere on Netflix in March. The ten episode series is an irreverent action comedy starring Matthew McConaughey as Elvis Presley and follows Elvis as he lives a double-life as a secret agent, Global superstar by day, ass-kicking vigilante by night who eventually joins the secret agency “TCB” as Agent Elvis. Elvis Presley trades in his jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves – all while holding down his day job as the King Of Rock And Roll.
The Consultant premieres on Prime Video February 24. Based on Bentley Little’s 2015 novel of the same name, the characters and story in this thrilling new series unfold in new and unexpected ways. The Consultant is a twisted, comedic-thriller series that explores the sinister relationship between boss and employee. When a new consultant, Regus Patoff, is hired to improve the business at the app-based gaming company CompWare, employees experience new demands and challenges that put everything into question … including their lives. The series stars Christoph Waltz, Nat Wolff, Brittany O’Grady, and Aimee Carrero.
History of the World, Part II premieres on hulu March 9. After waiting over 40 years there is finally a sequel to the seminal Mel Brooks film, “History of the World, Part I,” with each episode featuring a variety of sketches that take us through different periods of human history.
9-1-1 returns on Fox March 6. In the spring premiere, a dry thunderstorm rolls over LA, bringing in a series of lightning strikes emergencies for the 126 all over the city. Bobby sends Athena and May undercover into the rehab facility as he is still investigating his AA sponsor’s mysterious death. Maddie is dreading her parents visit, while Albert surprises Chimney with one.
Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams will voice Hawkgirl and Hawkman in HBO Max’s upcoming Harley Quinn Valentine’s Day special February 9. In Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special, Harley goes to obsessive lengths to ensure that her first Valentine’s Day with Ivy is the best ever. Bane’s efforts to impress an unexpected date go horribly awry. Meanwhile, after an unfortunate online dating encounter, Clayface engages in some self-love.
Netflix’s limited series Eric has set its cast. Benedict Cumberbatch will lead six-part thriller from writer Abi Morgan, alongside Gaby Hoffmann, McKinley Belcher III, Dan Fogler, Clarke Peters, Ivan Morris Howe, Phoebe Nicholls, David Denman, Bamar Kane, Adepero Odyue, Alexis Molnar, and Roberta Colindrez. Set in 1980s New York, the series follows the desperate search of a father when his nine year old son disappears one morning on the way to school. Vincent, one of New York’s leading puppeteers and creator of the hugely popular children’s television show, ‘Good Day Sunshine,’ struggles to cope with the loss of his son, Edgar, becoming increasingly distressed and volatile. Full of self-loathing and guilt around Edgar’s disappearance, he clings to his son’s drawings of a blue monster puppet, Eric, convinced that if he can get Eric on TV then Edgar will come home. As Vincent’s progressively destructive behaviour alienates his family, his work colleagues, and the detectives trying to help him, it’s Eric, a delusion of necessity, who becomes his only ally in the pursuit to bring his son home.
Showtime is expanding the Billions universe by announcing new series in development. Billions: Miami and Billions: London will take place in Miami and London. Millions would follow young investors trying to get rich in Manhattan. Trillions would follow the richest in the world.
Power Book II: Ghost returns for season three March 17 on Starz. The new season kicks off with Tariq St. Patrick determined to get his trust, get back to his family, and get out of the game for good. Showtime has ordered espionage political thriller The Department. The series based on the French drama Le Bureau des Legendes will be directed by George Clooney. It focuses on the “Bureau of Legends,” responsible for training and handling deep-cover agents on long-term missions. Living under false identities for years, these agents’ missions are to identify and recruit good intelligence sources.
Peacock’s adult stop-motion animated comedy series In the Know has set its voice cast. Those cast include Caitlin Reilly, Charlie Bushnell, J. Smith-Cameron, and Carl Tart. They join previously announced Zach Woods and Mike Judge. Lauren Caspian is NPR’s third most popular host. He’s a well-meaning, hypocritical nimrod, just like you and me. He’s also a stop motion puppet. Each episode follows the making of an episode of Lauren’s show In the Know, in which Lauren conducts in-depth interviews with real world human guests. Lauren collaborates with a diverse crew of NPR staff. They are also puppets and nimrods.

Copycat Killer will premiere on Netflix March 31. The thriller is based on famed Japanese mystery writer Miyabe Miyuki’s bestselling novel of the same name, is set in the 1990s and tells the story of Kuo Hsiao-chi, a veteran homicide prosecutor handling his first-ever serial killer case, and how he tries to bring justice to the perpetrator. With the murderer’s repeated aggravations, Hsiao-chi is determined to find the key piece of evidence to crack the case, even if it means putting his life on the line.
