HBO Max’s limited series Love & Death premieres April 27 with three episodes. The seven episode series stars Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons. This riveting drama, written by David E. Kelley and directed by Lesli Linka Glatter, tells the true story of Candy and Pat Montgomery and Betty and Allan Gore – two churchgoing couples enjoying their smalltown Texas life… until an extramarital affair leads somebody to pick up an axe.
Ryan Seacrest announced that he will be leaving Live With Kelly And Ryan after six seasons. Kelly Ripa’s husband actor Mark Consuelos will take the seat and the show will become known as Live With Kelly And Mark. The transition will begin this spring as Seacreast heads out west to film live episodes of ABC’s American Idol. Seacrest plans to fill in as guest host occasionally following his departure.
Royal Crackers will premiere on adult swim April 2 with the first three episodes. Royal Crackers was once the king of snacks, but the empire is crumbling. When the family patriarch, tyrannical company founder Theodore Hornsby Sr. ends up in a “super coma,” the rest of the Hornsbys will take their lack of talent and business acumen and try to make Royal Crackers the success it once was. The series stars Andrew Santino, Jessica St. Clair, and David Gborie.
Saturday Night Live returns for three new back to back episodes February 25 with the previously announced Woody Harrelson as host and Jack White as musical guest. March 4 will see Travis Kelce as host and Kelsea Ballerini as musical guest. Jenna Ortega will host March 11 with musical guest The 1975.
HBO Max has ordered Duster from J.J. Abrams And Latoya Morgan. Rachel Hilson and Josh Holloway will star in the eight episode drama series. In 1972, the first Black female FBI agent heads to the Southwest and recruits a gutsy getaway driver in a bold effort to take down a growing crime syndicate.
Comedy series The Big Door Prize premieres on Apple TV+ March 29. Based on M.O. Walsh’s novel of the same name, the series tells the story of a small town that is forever changed when a mysterious machine appears in the general store, promising to reveal each resident’s true life potential. Dusty Hubbard, a seemingly content, cheerful family man and high school teacher, watches everyone around him reevaluate their life choices and ambitions – based on the machine’s printouts – and is forced to question whether he is truly as happy as he once thought. While he remains skeptical of the machine, his wife, Cass, indulges in the dream that there’s something bigger out there for her. Like many of Deerfield’s residents, the couple has lived a relatively safe, uncomplicated life, until the arrival of the Morpho machine. However, all of that is about to change when the community is forced to reconcile with their unfulfilled achievements in pursuit of a better future.
Teddy Sears and John Wesley Shipp are returning for the final season of The Flash. Sears played Zoom and Shipp played Jay Garrick in previous seasons of The CW series. They join a growing list of returning cast members for the series final run.
Daniel Sunjata has been cast in ABC’s HPI (High Intellectual Potential) pilot. He joins Kaitlin Olson in the potential series adapted from a French series.
Fox is developing a new take on Starsky & Hutch. The buddy cop series would focus on two female detectives as they solve crimes.
Janelle James is set to host the 2023 Writers Guild Awards. The ceremony will take place March 5 in Los Angeles.
When Showtime merges with Paramount+, the new service Paramount+ with Showtime will cost most. The service will rise from $9.99 a month to $11.99 a month. Plans without Showtime will rise from $4.99 a month to $5.99 a month.
Season five of Formula 1: Drive to Survive premieres on Netflix February 24. Offering unprecedented access, this new season will once again take fans behind the scenes, to witness first-hand how the drivers and teams prepare to battle it out for the 2022 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The series will offer never-before-seen footage and interviews from the sport’s biggest names.
Rain Dogs premieres March 6 on HBO. The series chronicles the life of Costello Jones, a devoted mother who wants more for her precocious young daughter, Iris (Fleur Tashjian). As she hustles to survive, Costello leans on Selby, Iris’ pseudo father (and Costello’s pseudo soulmate), and Gloria, the duo’s loyal yet chaotic godmother/best friend – together forming a makeshift swaggerous family bound by a complex but deep-rooted love and defiance towards a system built against them. An extraordinary tale of a mother’s love for her daughter, Rain Dogs explores a dysfunctional family on the fringes of society, attempting to go straight in a crooked world.
Dance competition series Dance 100 premieres on Netflix March 17. The six episode street dance competition hosted by Ally Love showcases eight accomplished dancers who are ready to prove they’re the next superstar choreographer. Showcasing one hundred of the world’s best dancers, known as the Dance 100, the contestants must choreograph, teach and perform next-level group performances that will wow the judges, who – in a twist – are their own dancers.
FX’s Great Expectation premieres on hulu March 26. Starring Fionn Whitehead, Olivia Colman and Shalom Brune-Franklin, the series is the coming-of-age story of Pip, an orphan who yearns for a greater life, until a twist of fate and a mysterious benefactor opens a dark world of possibilities. Under the great expectations placed upon him, Pip must weigh the true cost of this new world and if it will make him the man he wishes to be.
Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico will premiere on CNN March 26. The Days will premiere on Netflix in 2023. Austin takes viewers on an epic adventure as he redefines what life after years in the ring looks like and experiences everything he missed out on while focused on his career. WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures returns with Legends Booker T, Mick Foley, and Lita as they hunt for iconic WWE memorabilia and share the stories behind some of the most memorable items in WWE history.
Docuseries Blood & Money will premiere on CNBC March 7. The Wolf Entertainment ripped from the headlines unscripted series features real stories, real people and real investigations of greed and murder, told through Wolf’s unique lens. Utilizing signature franchise elements including the distinctive narrator and iconic “Dun-Dun,” each of the ten, one-hour episodes spotlight the detectives and prosecutors as they follow the money and pursue justice. Blood & Money goes inside the story of the most infamous financial scandals that ended in bloodshed including billionaire Robert Durst, the Menendez brothers, notorious mother-son grifters Sante and Kenneth Kimes Jr. and con artist “Clark Rockefeller,” among others.
