AMC’s new series The Walking Dead: Dead City will premiere June 18. The Walking Dead spinoff series follows the popular Maggie and Negan characters traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror. Logan Kim will be playing a teenage version of Glenn and Maggie’s son Hershel in the series. Kien Michael Spiller played the younger version of the role in the original series.
Florida Man premieres on Netflix April 13. The limited series follows a struggling ex-cop forced to return to his home state of Florida to find a Philly mobster’s runaway girlfriend. What should be a quick gig becomes a wildly spiraling journey into buried family secrets, and an increasingly futile attempt to do the right thing in a place where so much is wrong.
Part one of the eighth and final season of Fear the Walking Dead premieres on AMC May 14. The season begins after the conclusion of Season 7, when Morgan’s and Madison’s hopes to rescue Mo from PADRE did not go as planned. Now, Morgan, Madison and the others they brought to the island are living under PADRE’s cynical rule. With our characters demoralized and dejected, the task of reigniting belief in a better world rests with the person Morgan and Madison set out to rescue in the first place — Morgan’s daughter, Mo. The season will also include a seven-year time jump.
Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures premieres on Disney+ May 4. Set during The High Republic era, the animated series follows Jedi younglings as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need, and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi along the way. Three animated shorts have been released as a sneak preview of the animated series. Meet the Young Jedi, Lys’ Creature Caper, and Kai’s Daring Droid Rescue introduce the Jedi younglings and their friends on planet Tenoo. Three additional shorts will debut on YouTube over the coming weeks, with all six shorts available to stream on Disney+ on April 26.
ABC has renewed Grey’s Anatomy for a twentieth season, extending its reign as the longest medical drama in primetime. With the renewal, the door remains open for former star Ellen Pompeo to appear in some capacity. Meg Marinis will serve as showrunner following the news that Krista Vernoff would be stepping down as showrunner for the series, as well as spinoff Station 19, which is still awaiting word on its future.
Saturday Night Live has set the host and musical guests for two more episodes. Molly Shannon will host the April 8 episode with musical guest Jonas Brothers. Ana de Armas will host April 15 with musical guest Karol G. The season returns April 1 with previously announced host Quinta Brunson and musical guest Lil Yachty.
Lena Headey has been cast in Netflix’s upcoming new series The Abandons. She will play Fiona, a devout matriarch in the series from creator Kurt Sutter. The series is a pulse-pounding action drama that explores that fine line between survival and law in 1850s Oregon.
Apple TV+ has ordered limited series The Savant starring Jessica Chastain. Inspired by a true story published by Cosmopolitan, the storyline and character details are being kept under wraps.
Animated series Clone High returns for a new series, premiering this spring on HBO Max. The modern refresh is set at a high school for clones of historical figures. After a high school that was secretly being run as an elaborate military experiment to clone the greatest minds in history was put on ice, the clones have been thawed out 20 years later to resume the experiment with new clone classmates – all while navigating a new set of cultural norms and overly dramatic teen relationships. Returning stars include Will Forte, Nicole Sullivan, Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Christa Miller, Donald Faison, and Judah Miller. New voice actors joining are Ayo Edebiri, Mitra Jouhari, Vicci Martinez, Kelvin Yu, Neil Casey, Jana Schmieding, Sam Richardson, Mo Gaffney, Al Madrigal, Danny Pudi, Emily Maya Mills, Michael Bolton, Mandy Moore, Ian Ziering, Steve Kerr, Jeffrey Muller, Kyle Lau, Dannah Phirman, and Danielle Schneider.

Arty Froushan has joined the cast of Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again. The series featuring the return of some characters from the Netflix Daredevil series will premiere in 2024.
The Kardashians returns on hulu May 25 for season three. The cameras return as Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie invite viewers back into their lives as they navigate motherhood, coparenting, and building their own empires. Their bond will be tested and tensions arise, but as a family they will stand together through the storm.
Season two of The Marked Heart (Pálpito) premieres on Netflix April 19. Docuseries 100 Foot Wave returns for season two on HBO April 16. Season two of Dalgliesh premieres on Acorn TV April 24. The six episode season is based on three more novels from P.D. James’ bestselling murder mystery series, “Adam Dalgliesh Mystery.” The new season sees DCI Adam Dalgliesh taking us through 1970’s England as he solves unusual murders ranging from a senior forensic biologist found dead in his lab, to an illustrious but controversial defense barrister found deceased in her chambers, to a young doctor being set on fire in the grounds of his family museum.
Yakitori: Soldiers of Misfortune, based on the light novels by Carlo Zen, will premiere in May on Netflix. Akira Ihotsu is a young man who spends his days rebelling against an oppressive society on a future Earth, which is ruled and controlled by Shoren, the Pan-Star System Trade Federation. GAMERA -Rebirth- will premiere on Netflix later this year. Gamera, the giant monster which has been beloved by Kaiju fans across the globe since the 1960s, faces off against five enemy creatures across six episodes in this new animated series.
