Apple TV+ has renewed Palm Royale for a second season. Set in high society Palm Beach in the powder keg year of 1969, the series is a true underdog story that follows Maxine Simmons as she endeavors to break into Palm Beach high society. As Maxine attempts to cross that impermeable line between the haves and the have-nots, it asks the same question that still baffles us today: “How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to get what someone else has?” It is a testament to every outsider fighting for their chance to truly belong.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol premieres September 29 on AMC. The new six episode season picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, following fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier. They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest. Additionally, Genet’s movement builds momentum, setting Pouvoir on a violent collision course with the Union of Hope in the fight for France’s future.
BET+ has renewed Average Joe for a second season. Inspired by the life of creator Robb Cullen, the series is a darkly comedic, intense one-hour drama set in “The Hill” district of Pittsburgh. Blue-collar plumber, Joe Washington, discovers his recently deceased father lived a secret second life and stole millions of dollars from dangerous people just before he died. Now those people think Joe knows where the money is. A bloody and violent confrontation triggers a chain of events that force Joe and his close-knit circle of family and friends out of their very average and mundane lives into a life-or-death race against time to find the truth and the millions.
Prime Video has ordered Countdown to series. The thirteen episode season stars Jensen Ackles. The series starts following a suspicious murder in broad daylight, which leads to LAPD officer Mark Meachum being recruited to join a secret task force of undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement to investigate. But as the truth of a more sinister plot comes into focus, the team must overcome their conflicting personal agendas to unite and save a city of millions.
Season three of Bel-Air premieres August 15 on Peacock. Set in modern-day America, the series imagines the beloved sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a new, dramatic take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. HGTV has ordered Izzy Does It starring Flip or Flop contractor Izzy Battres. The renovation/occu-series will follow Izzy and his family across eight hour-long episodes as they grow their home renovation and design business and navigate working together in his hometown of Santa Ana, California. Together they will deliver dazzling renovation results to clients with realistic budgets. The series will premiere in 2025.

NBCUniversal is teaming up with Sesame Street to bring Elmo and his friends to Paris as part of its comprehensive coverage of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 this summer.Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and Tango will be featured in activations across Sesame Street’s social media platforms leading into and during the Games, including the U.S. Olympic Team Trials and the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The pre-Games activations will feature beloved Sesame Street muppets in bespoke illustrations detailing their hot air balloon journey from Sesame Street across the Atlantic Ocean to Paris.
