Cobra Kai Season 6: Part 1 premieres on Netflix July 18. With Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley, our senseis and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai – the world championships of karate. Part 2 will premiere November 28. Part 3, which will be the series finale, will premiere in 2025. 

Kite Man: Hell Yeah! premieres July 18 on Max. The series features characters from the Max series Harley Quinn, which has been renewed for a fifth season. Kite Man and Golden Glider take their relationship to the next level by opening a bar in the shadow of Lex Luthor’s Legion of Doom. Nobody said serving cold ones to the most dangerous rogues outside of Arkham Asylum would be easy, but sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and how to hide a body. 

In The Arena: Serena Williams premieres on ESPN+ July 10. The 8-episode series offers an unprecedented look at the life and career of Serena Williams, one of the greatest athletes of all time. After 27 years in professional tennis, Williams shares a personal account of her most meaningful Grand Slam appearances and deconstructs the milestones of her legendary career. Each episode explores the pivotal moments in Williams’ life on and off the court, illustrating the series of steps that, when reflected upon, show the incredible distance traveled over the course of her career. 

A sequel to anime series Kaiju No. 8 has been announced. In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.

Production has begun on the second season of One Piece. Based on Japan’s highest-selling manga series in history by Eiichiro Oda, the series is a legendary high-seas adventure unlike any other. Monkey D. Luffy is a young adventurer who has longed for a life of freedom since he can remember. Luffy sets off from his small village on a perilous journey to find the legendary fabled treasure, ONE PIECE, to become King of the Pirates! But in order to find the ultimate prize, Luffy will need to assemble the crew he’s always wanted before finding a ship to sail, searching every inch of the vast seas, outpacing the Marines, and outwitting dangerous rivals at every turn. 

The final arc of Demon Slayer will be adapted in a trilogy of movies titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle. No release date for the first film has been announced yet. 

Richard Gere has joined the cast of Showtime’s espionage political thriller The Agency. He joins Michael Fassbender and Jeffrey Wright. The thriller follows Martian, a covert CIA agent, ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. His career, his real identity and his mission are pitted against his heart; hurling them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage. 

Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Milly Alcock will star in Netflix’s upcoming limited series Sirens. Devon thinks her sister Simone has a really creepy relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell. Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention. When Devon tracks her sister down to say WTF, she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be. Told over the course of one explosive weekend at The Kells’ lavish beach estate, the series is an incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class.

Prime Video has ordered a docuseries chronicling the November 2022 murders of four University of Idaho students and the subsequent investigation, arrest, and trial of suspect Bryan Kohberger. The docuseries will be shot in conjunction with the investigation and research of author James Patterson and investigative journalist Vicky Ward for their upcoming nonfiction title based on the murders. 

Sherri Papini mysteriously disappeared while out for a run in her close-knit California community in 2016. After a three-week period in which her family and the authorities searched endlessly for answers, Papini was found on the side of a road, bruised, chained up and distraught, telling the authorities she had been kidnapped and kept imprisoned, but was it true? Now, for the first time since her controversial disappearance, Papini will share her side of the story with the leading true crime network, Investigation Discovery, in a new docuseries unpacking the untold story surrounding her case. The multi-part docuseries will feature exclusive interviews with Papini about her disappearance and the subsequent media firestorm and federal investigation that followed. Production is underway for the docuseries that is slated to premiere on ID in 2025. 

Reality series The Boyfriend premieres on Netflix July 9. The series features a group of nine young men who are attracted to other guys as they live together in a seaside beach house called the “Green Room” and run a peppermint-colored coffee truck. Whether they are here to meet a romantic partner, find a lifelong friend or improve themselves, these men bring their hopes and dreams to the Green Room to take part in the first gay romance reality show in Japan. 

Those About to Die premieres on Peacock July 18. The series is an epic drama set in the corrupt world of the spectacle-driven gladiatorial competition, exploring a side of ancient Rome never before told – the dirty business of entertaining the masses, giving the mob what they want most… blood and sport. The series introduces an ensemble of characters from all corners of the Roman Empire who collide at the explosive intersection of sports, politics, and dynasties. 

LALIGA: All Access premieres July 15 on Netflix. The eight episode series gives a unique access to the 2023/2024 season. The series will highlight the excitement of the competition through never seen before featurettes and exclusive interviews with the protagonists of each team. Get to know the personal stories of the LALIGA players and how they live the challenges, the controversies and the pressure off the field.
