Prime Video announced that the global hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty is set to conclude its story with a feature film installation written and directed by Jenny Han. Story details are still under wraps. Based on the best-selling book trilogy from Han, the series is a multigenerational drama centered around a love triangle involving one girl and two brothers. It explores the complex bonds between mothers and their children, the strength of lasting female friendships, and the transformative journey of growing up. Prime Video has renewed We Were Liars for a second season. The series is based on the best-selling novel by E. Lockhart. In Season One, the series follows Cadence Sinclair Eastman and her tight-knit inner circle, nicknamed the Liars, during their summer escapades on her grandfather’s New England private island. Apple TV+ has landed The Off Weeks, a thrilling new eight-episode limited series starring and executive produced by Jessica Chastain and Ben Stiller. Animated holiday special A Paw Patrol Christmas will premiere on CBS November 28. The hour-long special offers viewers the opportunity to create new shared family holiday traditions with the PAW Patrol pups. Disney+ has ordered a The Muppet Show television event special. Sabrina Carpenter will star in the project, which will premiere in 2026. The variety special will be seen as a pilot, allowing for the network to decide if they want to order it to series.

The Price Is Right and Let’s Make a Deal kick off new seasons beginning September 22 with special episodes. The Price Is Right will introduce a new pricing game in partnership with BetMGM, “The Lion’s Share.” In the premiere of Let’s Make a Deal “Mega Money Monday” episode, an audience full of firefighters and first responders are ready to make deals, with one contestant guaranteed to take home $20,000. On Wednesday, Sept. 24, Brady welcomes CBS stars familiar with exotic getaways for the first “Worldwide Wednesday” of the season. MGM+ has acquired a new four-part drama adaptation of Charles Dickens’ literary classic, A Tale Of Two Cities, set to air on MGM+ in the US and the BBC in the UK. The four-part limited series stars Kit Harington, François Civil, and Mirren Mack with Hong Khaou directing and Daniel West writing. Shooting will commence in October. London, 1782. Tensions run high in the war between France and Britain.
