HBO’s Lanterns premieres August 16. Laura Linney is set to appear in the upcoming series. The series follows new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. The cast includes Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, Laura Linney, Jason Ritter, Ulrich Thomsen, Nathan Fillion, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Jasmine Cephas Jones. 

Upcoming Adventure Time companion series Adventure Time: Side Quests will premiere June 29 on Disney+ and hulu. The new series follows young hero Finn and his magical dog best friend Jake as they embark on adventures across the fantastical land of Ooo – partying with cloud people and punching evil in the butt along the way. It builds on the spirit of the early seasons, delivering lighter, self-contained adventures. Designed to introduce a new generation of fans to the land of Ooo, whilst giving existing fans more of what they love, the series brings standalone, silly quests and playful challenges – celebrating the joyful chaos of Finn and Jake’s adventures. Finn the Human is voiced by Sasha Knight and John DiMaggio returns as the voice of Jake the Dog. The series will also reunite fan-favourite characters including Ice King (Tom Kenny), Princess Bubblegum (Hynden Walch), Marceline (Olivia Olson), and BMO (Niki Yang). The original series aired on Cartoon network while spinoffs Adventure Time: Distant Lands and Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake streamed on HBO Max. 

FX’s Very Young Frankenstein has been picked up to series at FX and hulu. The comedy series starring Zach Galifianakis, Dolly Wells and Spencer House is based on Young Frankenstein. 

Yokoso Scooby-Doo will stream on Tubi. Frank Welker will return as the voice of Scooby-Doo and Matthew Lillard will once again voice Shaggy. While visiting Japan on the ultimate foodie adventure, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy unwittingly unleash hundreds of mythical monsters that are causing trouble across the country. With the help of Scooby’s uncle, Daisuke-Doo, along with new friends, a magical girl Yume, and gadget whiz Takumi, the group embarks on an all-new mystery filled with monster chasing and fun chaos.   

Disney+ and Hulu announced that Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits Music Festival will stream live across both platforms for the first time, giving audiences around the world access to some of the year’s biggest live music moments in real time. Now in Hulu’s sixth year of offering subscribers exclusive front-row access from the comfort of their home, the addition of the Disney+ global livestream further enhances Hulu’s historic run of streaming these Live Nation festivals by offering globally shared live events that can be watched simultaneously across continents. This year, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival takes place June 11 – 14, Lollapalooza July 30 – August 2, and Austin City Limits Music Festival will be October 2 – 4. Additional details about the livestreams will be available ahead of each festival.
