Season three of The Pitt will premiere on HBO Max in January 2027. The series is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh. The cast for the new season include Noah Wyle (Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch), Patrick Ball (Dr. Langdon), Katherine LaNasa (Dana Evans), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Dr. Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi), Ayesha Harris (Dr. Ellis), Sepideh Moafi (Dr. Al-Hashimi), Shawn Hatosy (Dr. Abbot).
PBS is teasing its MASTERPIECE Fall 2026 Preview. new series and new seasons are heading your way including The Marlow Murder Club, Maigret, and The Gold, plus the premiere of Marble Hall Murders. The Marlow Murder Club Season 3 premieres September 6 at 8 followed by Marble Hall Murders at 9, the third and final installment of the Susan Ryeland series. Maigret Season 2 premieres October 18 at 9 followed by The Gold Season 2 at 10.
HBO Max has ordered comedy series The People v. Gorilla Grodd to series. The project is set in the DCU, featuring Skyler Gisondo reprising his role as Jimmy Olsen from the Superman films. The series also stars Jimmy Tatro as Gorilla Grodd, Superman actors Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Wendell Pierce as Perry White as well as Mary Holland, Eduardo Franco, Arian Moayed, Dan Perrault, Andrew Leeds, and Tim Baltz. A superintelligent ape is convicted of murdering his father, the King of Gorilla City. In an eight-part “true” crime docuseries, the Daily Planet’s Jimmy Olsen reopens the case, investigating whether Gorilla Grodd was wrongly convicted in one of Metropolis’ most famous murder trials.
Matthew Daddario is set to appear in the upcoming 15th season of Chicago Fire. He joins previously announced Da’Vinchi as new character on the NBC series.
The CW will no longer be airing Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants. The two events were both scheduled to air on The CW August 26 and 27. The ceremonies will now instead steam on Queen Beauty Network.
Karla Crome, Josiah Green-Mhlanga and Tom Stourton have been cast in Starz’s You Are Here. They join previously announced Claire Foy and Matthew Macfadyen in the series adaptation of David Nicholls’ novel. Following the group walk, Marnie and Michael unexpectedly find themselves setting off on an epic adventure. Against the odds, they end up on the brink of a relationship that neither was looking for, but which might be exactly the one they both need.
BritBox’s Hercule is currently in production on the six part series. The series is an intimate study of Hercule Poirot, the man and an epic portrait of Britain between the wars. Hercule will center around three of Agatha Christie’s early stories, while also introducing Hercule Poirot to future friends and allies and one particular nemesis.
