Norman Reedus has joined the cast of Disavowed. Reedus joins James Marsden in the Apple TV action thriller series which follows CIA Case Officer Brad Griffin, who is abruptly fired in the middle of a global hunt for an elusive assassin responsible for killing his colleague. Disgraced and outcast from the world of intelligence, all bets are off when Brad decides to go after the $15 million federal bounty on the assassin’s head.

Netflix has renewed Tires for a fourth season. Will (Steve Gerben), the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Shane Gillis). NBC has renewed American Ninja Warrior for two additional seasons, season 19 and season 20. The renewal comes as season 18 comes to a close.

Season two of Blue Box will receive a same day dub on Netflix, premiering October 4. The first season received a full season dub drop following the completion of the series in English subtitles.
Pluto TV is expanding its anime offering with a new slate of titles, broader English dub access and two new linear channels, bringing some of the genre’s most acclaimed and widely watched titles to a free streaming audience for the first time. Building on the recent arrival of English-dubbed and subtitled versions of global mega-hits Vinland Saga and Dororo, the lineup adds Inuyashiki: Last Hero and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, as well as One-Punch Man and Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, both available for the first time in free streaming with English dubs. The expansion also brings broader dub access to NARUTO, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead and Captain Tsubasa, already popular series on the free streamer. Two new channels are also joining the platform in September: It’s Anime and Big A Anime. It’s Anime features an English-dub-focused lineup spanning current series, catalog favorites and fresh simulcasts from Japan. Big A Anime features a curated lineup of acclaimed anime series and films, alongside fan-focused programming including Anime Showdown and specials from major anime and pop culture events.
Swedish psychological thriller A Couple of Lies premieres October 30 on Netflix. Based on the novel by the same name by best‑selling crime author Stefan Ahnhem, the limited series follows two couples whose dream holiday home swap spirals into something far more dangerous, leaving them unsure whether they can even trust the person they love. Helene (Frida Gustavsson) and Carl (Fares Fares) trade their home in Stockholm’s archipelago for a sun-drenched villa in Sicily, swapping lives for some weeks with Scarlett (Emma Appleton) and Adam (Jakob Oftebro); a couple they’ve never met. ESPN announced its MLB Game of the Day schedule for September, part of a broader offering of more than 375 MLB games across ESPN platforms during the final month of the 2026 Major League Baseball regular season. The September slate includes games on ESPN’s linear networks and the ESPN App through MLB.TV, along with a daily selection of out-of-market matchups available through ESPN Unlimited’s Game of the Day offering. The September slate features a variety of divisional matchups, rivalry games and potential postseason previews, including the Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers on September 7 and 9, and the New York Mets vs. New York Yankees on September 11, which will be played on the 25th anniversary of September 11. The schedule also includes the Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves on September 13 and Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Mets on September 19. Other highlights include the Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians on September 14, Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles on September 21, Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees on September 22 in a key late-season AL East matchup, and Chicago Cubs vs. Boston Red Sox on September 25.
TNT Sports’ college football coverage this season will be highlighted by weekly live Big 12 football, an expanded five-game College Football Playoff schedule and multiplatform programming across TNT, truTV, HBO Max and Bleacher Report. Kicking off TNT’s second year of Big 12 football, the West Virginia Mountaineers will host the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Noon ET on TNT, truTV and HBO Max. Pregame coverage will begin at 11:30 a.m. Play-by-play voice J.B. Long and analyst Mike Golic, Jr. are in their third year calling games together while Coy Wire – one of several sideline reporters for TNT this season – will report from Morgantown.

Docuseries A Killer Story premieres September 10 on HBO. The series examines a polarizing murder case that spanned more than two decades and captured national attention. At the center of the case is Dana Chandler, who was accused of killing her ex-husband and his girlfriend in 2002. Filmed over the course of six years, investigative journalist Joe Sexton (The New York Times and ProPublica) begins to look into the double homicide case after receiving thousands of emails from Eileen Umbehr, a homemaker turned citizen sleuth. Eileen and her husband Keen are convinced that Chandler did not commit the crime and devote their lives to fighting for Chandler’s innocence. Lacking forensic evidence, the murder case is litigated over three arduous trials with the series unspooling a complex tale of family conflicts, betrayal, prosecutorial misconduct, competing narratives and confirmation bias. As Sexton navigates the legal labyrinth, he discovers the truth is more elusive at every turn. More than a murder mystery, it probes true crime obsession and the dangers of blinkered certainty in a case where the truth may never be known.
