Treasure Island premieres October 11 on MGM+. Season two of Adventure Time: Side Quests premieres October 2 on Disney+ and hulu. Finn and Jake are back for more adventure and even more side quests across the wild, wonderful land of Ooo. The third and final season of The Empress premieres November 12 on Netflix. After the devastating Sardinian War, Emperor Franz (Philip Froissant) returns a traumatized man. The guilt of having lost thousands of young men on the battlefield weighs heavily on him. Elisabeth (Devrim Lingnau Islamoğlu) tries to stand by him – she fights passionately for her marriage while at the same time advocating for what would now be right for the empire – yet in vain. Almost simultaneously, Franz’s brother Maximilian (Johannes Nussbaum) sets off on a great adventure with his wife Marie (Josephine Thiesen): he is to ascend the imperial throne in far-off Mexico. In the end, Elisabeth must decide: follow her heart unconditionally, or be a sincere empress to her people.

In celebration of its one-year anniversary, Wonder Project premieres its new original series Leonard and Hungry Paul, narrated by Julia Roberts, on its Prime Video subscription service. Based on the novel of the same name, the feel-good series follows two board-gaming friends in their thirties; Leonard and Hungry Paul, who meander through leafy suburban life finding solace in their quiet routines. Unexpected events prompt both men to meet a world that is suddenly wider and full of unfamiliar possibilities.

Great Musicians of Our Time will premiere October 9 on PBS. The six part series offers intimate portraits of six of the most influential and celebrated classical music artists: violinists Itzhak Perlman and Pinchas Zukerman, guitarist Andrés Segovia, and pianists Vladimir Ashkenazy, Evgeny Kissin and Daniil Trifonov. Netflix is currently in development on a Sesame Street film. Sesame Street is bringing even more of the neighborhood to Netflix, sending Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and friends on their biggest adventures yet. On the series side, the deal between Netflix and Sesame Workshop has been extended to keep delivering new seasons of the show through Season 62. Fans can also look forward to Season 57 Volume 4 arriving November 23 and Volumes 5 and 6 coming in 2027, plus the licensed CGI animated series Mecha Builders will arrive on October 26.
The world of Netflix’s Gabby’s Dollhouse is expanding. Gabby’s sister, Doozie, is set to take center stage in Doozie’s Doghouse, a mixed-media companion series premiering November 9, packed with tail-wagging surprises and woof-tastic imaginative play. Then on December 9, Gabby’s Dollhouse: Makers and Bakers debuts with four holiday-themed episodes hosted by Laila Lockhart Kraner as Gabby, as talented young baker-and-maker duos take on whimsical crafting and baking challenges judged by Aidy Bryant, Justin Willman and Melissa Villaseñor. More episodes will follow in 2027.
