DioGuardi has a wealth of experience, working with many of the American Idol finalists including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Bo Bice, David Cook and David Archeluta.

In a move that is leaving many shaking their heads, American Idol has added a fourth judge. Kara DioGuardi, a producer and songwriter has been added to the judging table. DioGuardi has a wealth of experience, working with many of the American Idol finalists including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Bo Bice, David Cook and David Archeluta. DioGuardi has also worked with Avril Lavigne, Pink, Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Britney Spears, Jewel and Marc Anthony. She even has judging experience as she was a judge on MTV’s The One.
Adding DioGuardi to the lineup of judges evens up the gender lines. It certainly does shake the dynamic of the judges up. Will having another female as a judge mean that their will be more sympathy shown to the performances? With DioGuardi’s experience and wisdom, will she be able to give better advice to the performers that has been lacking? Or is this a move that will allow Paula Abdul to gracefully move on to better things next year? You decide.
