Kurth reprises his role after a 18 year absence.
On the heels of the news Crystal Chappell is returning to Salem as Carly Manning, Soap Opera Digest Online is reporting that Wally Kurth will be reprising his role of Justin Kiriakis.
Wally Kurth portrayed Justin Kiriakis on the NBC soap from 1987 to 1991. In 1991, Kurth took on the role of Ned Ashton, Tracy Quartermaine’s son on ABC’s General Hospital. He portrayed the tennis pro turned musician from 1991 to 2007. Kurth left the ABC soap in 2007 and took on a new role on CBS’ As The World Turns, as Sam Hutchins.
Throughout his career as an actor, Wally Kurth has also kept true to his passion of music. Wally’s band, Kurth and Taylor, is still making music, touring and raising money for their foundation to help children in need.
“Yes, Wally is returning in August,” confirms a DAYS spokesperson. “Stay tuned as to why and how he’ll return to Salem.” Wally’s re-appearance in Salem is August 10.
