Mark Pinter returns to ‘General Hospital’ later this month.
With a serial killer on the loose in Port Charles and the mobster enforcer being his obsession it’s no wonder the Feds are back in town. Yes, that’s right, soap vet Mark Pinter will make a return visit to ABC’s General Hospital as Federal Agent Thomas Rayner. Is he back in town to arrest a few criminals or is he back to interfere with Police Commissioner Mac Scorpio’s blooming relationship with Attorney Alexis Davis (Soap Opera Digest suspects it might be both!)? Pinter originated the role of Agent Rayner in December 2008. Pinter has appeared on All My Children, Another World, Loving, As The World Turns, Guiding Light and Love of Life. Pinter returns to ‘GH’ on January 26.
Also coming soon to Port Charles are two new Quartermaine family members, well sort of. As per head writer Bob Guza’s words in the 2010 Previews in a recent issue of ABC’s Soaps In Depth, “The Q’s and their history will come to the forefront as the Ward family is going to be resurrected in a new form. It’s in the early stages of development now, but we’re going to reset the Quartermaines, particularly Edward, in terms of the Wards’ return.”
We’re glad ABC is bringing back the Wards. The show could use a little more diversity.
