Vampire Diaries shippers usually fall to one side: Team Stefan or Team Damon. We’re planting ourselves firmly in the middle. Damon is the uncontrollable, react without thinking, and gives a damn about no one kind of guy – except for Elena. Stefan is hardened on the outside, but vulnerable beneath the surface. His newfound bad guy attitude has fallen short on Elena this season because she knows him well enough to know he cares. Each is an anti-hero in his own way and we can’t help but root for both to get the girl.
See, the truth is we don’t care who Elena ends up with when it comes to Damon and Stefan. Each guy brings out a different side of Elena. With Damon supporting her this season, Elena has become more independent, less afraid, and more of aware of the severity of her doppelganger situation. Holding on to her love for Stefan gives her strength and it’s that love that forces her to still believe in the good that exists in him and the world around her.
It’s a triangle done well. We can’t wait to sit back and see how it unfolds, excited when she steals a moment with Damon and feeling our heartbreak when she confronts Stefan. Whose team are you on? Or are you stuck in the middle too?

Agree with pretty much all of them (from the shows I watch), although when it comes to The Vampire Diaries I’m firmly rooting for Damon and Elena.
