NBC unveiled its schedule for the 2012-2013 TV season. No surprise the network paired its new fares with returning series, but what is surprising is the shuffling (and benching) of some veteran series.
Community has been moved to Fridays where it will follow insufferable comedy Whitney (seriously why was this renewed). Though it was expected to have a slot on the fall schedule, musical drama Smash is again bumped to the mid-season (where it’s expected to be paired with the winter/spring cycle of The Voice). Joining the midseason roster with Smash is the returning Fashion Star, Celebrity Apprentice, Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, new dramas Do No Harm, Infamous and Hannibal, and new comedies 1600 Penn, Save Me and Next Caller.
