ABC’s musical sudser Nashville is boosting its hunk quotient (thank god) with the addition of Chris Carmack to the cast.
The O.C. alum will play Will, a sexy and charming country singer/guitar player, described as the kind of guy men want to be friends with and women want to be with. Deadline reports that the actor will appear in at least six of the remaining 10 episodes. Should ABC renew the drama for a second season, Carmack will be promoted to series regular.
The former model tuned actor got his big break as Luke Ward on Fox’s teen soap opera The O.C. His other credits include appearances on Smallville, CSI: Miami and Drop Dead Diva. Carmack also starred in the box office thriller Shark Night 3D in 2011. The actor’s newest film, John Milton Branton’s Dark Power, is in post-production. The film also stars Sean Patrick Flanery, Kristanna Loken, Richard Gleason and James C. Burns.
I loved Carmack in The OC, so I’m excited for him to join Nashville. I probably won’t be able to see his episodes live because I work at DISH when Nashville airs, but I’ll catch them on my DVR. My DISH Hopper auto-records Nashville and everything else on ABC during primetime hours, so I won’t have to worry about missing Carmack’s episodes even if I forget to set timers for them.
