Soap Alums Paolo Seganti, Ron Raines and Marnie Schulenberg Joining ‘One Life to Live’

Llanview’s population count is getting higher this summer with the arrival of five new cast members joining TOLN’s One Life to Live. As the World Turns alums Paolo Seganti (ex-Damien), Marnie Schulenberg (ex-Alison) and Guiding Light alum Ron Raines (ex-Alan) are among the cast additions. Also joining are soap newcomers Amber Skye Noyes and Alice Callahan. The new additions will be making their debuts to the online sudser over the course of the summer.

Bringing a little Italian spice to the map is Paolo Seganti, who’ll make his debut as Arturo Bandini, a wealthy and cultured man with a long family history in the art world, on June 27. Seganti is most known for his role as Damien Grimaldi on CBS’ As the World Turns — which he played regularly for 16 years. Seganti was a sportsman and boxer before becoming an actor, winning the Italian Amateur Championship in his native Italy.  Later, he was featured as a model for several global campaigns for Chanel, Lanvin, and Calvin Klein; he chose to relocate to New York and work in theater, appearing in the controversial and electrifying Equus, and the drama Whose Life is it Anyway? Later he appeared on many critically-acclaimed shows, including ER and The Closer, and the films Tea With Mussolini and L.A. Confidential.

Newcomers Alice Callahan and Amber Skye Noyes also make their debut June 27.  Callahan plays Kate, a summer school teacher working with Jack Manning, whose struggles to make the grade might lead to something more.  Callahan has worked on several television projects, including Gossip Girl, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and has appeared in the films Almost Perfect and Morning Glory.

Noyes will play the shy, reserved Michelle, Matthew Buchanan’s new love interest. The two have been getting to know each other online, and sparks will fly when they finally meet in person.  Noyes is an alumnus of respected Emerson College as well as New York University, from which she graduated with honors.  She is a talented and gifted musician whose extended play album “Secret” was a finalist in the Billboard Songwriting Contest and International Song Circle Competition. Noyes has additional ties to her new home in Llanview; her brother, actor Tyler Noyes, played CJ Roberts on OLTL during the 1990s.

Next to arrive on the scene is Marnie Schulenberg, who’ll play Jo Sullivan, David Vickers’ new producer for his reality show. A New England native of Cape Cod, Schulenberg began her acting career on The Young and the Restless where she portrayed As the World Turns character Alison Stewart in a crossover storyline. There, she and fellow ingénue Adriennne Frantz were featured on the online mini-soap Digital Daytime: LA Diaries.  After her stint on Y&R, she moved permanently to ATWT as Alison. In addition to her soap credits, Schulenberg has had featured roles on Fringe, Army Wives, Blue Bloods, and Royal Pains.  The actress is also an accomplished musical thespian, having starred in several productions such as As You Like it and South Pacific at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.  Schulenberg’s first airdate is July 23.

Rounding out the new arrivals on August 20 is Ron Raines as mysterious and influential businessman Carl Peterson, the longtime mentor of intrepid reporter Jeffrey King. Soap fans will remember Raines as Guiding Light’s Alan Spaulding, the Machiavellian patriarch of Springfield’s most powerful and scandalous family. Raines is an accomplished and respected theatre veteran, having appeared in dozens of Broadway shows and revivals, including Chicago, Newsies, South Pacific, and Man of La Mancha, to name but a few.

He is also a trained opera singer, performing with the Philadelphia and Boston Pops with John Williams, and the Royal Philharmonic in London.  A graduate of Julliard, he made his debut at New York City Opera in The Merry Widow.

  1. Hope Arturo is a much needed hot new love interest for Tea. Ron Raines is a great catch! Liking the idea of the controversial student/teacher story line.
