“My name is Eric Martsolf and I am on Days of our Lives and I am here with William,” joked the actor, well known for his witty sarcasm. When asked about his night so far, he gave us the following words of wisdom. “Here is what I have learned tonight – never get behind a Kardashian on the red carpet as you are destined to feel like a bumper car in the Ringling Brothers Circus.”
All joking aside, Martsolf added, “The best part of tonight was getting together with Ari Zucker, Kate Mansi, Greg Vaughan, Galen Gering and Shawn Christian. We all got together at a place in Beverly Hills and basically just toasted in congratulations on getting through another year in this crazy daytime schedule that we do every day.”
The actor has been to his fair share of Daytime Emmys over the years, so how this year’s different? “I will be honest, there is a certain level of chaos that has grown with the Daytime Emmys, but when all is said and done, chaos is good when you want to create momentum for the show. There are people here, there is excitement, there is laughter and loudness. That shows you what networks didn’t know a couple years ago – soaps are not dead at all! Daytime television is very alive and we have a generational impact every week and I see that here tonight. I don’t feel a dead genre, I feel like we are alive.”
Fans on Twitter begged us to ask the actor about his popular pairing with Eileen Davidson’s Kristin. “Brady found out what she was up to. The good news for the ‘Bristin’ fans is Brady is really big on forgiveness so the story is not over by a long shot,” previewed the actor. “That’s all I can say right now.”
A little hope is better than nothing!
