Former General Hospital star and Younger Actress nominee Lindsey Morgan (ex-Kristina, GH) says her nomination was a total shocker. “The nominations came out east coast time and I had to tape Franklin and Bash that day so my manager called and woke me up early and I was worried I was late for set or got fired,” she said with a laugh. “Usually when a manager calls that early, it is not [with] good news. I was just stunned for a good thirty minutes.”

For her submission, she said wanted to pick out an episode that she felt represented her best work. “I knew I wanted to submit something from the hostage storyline. I really felt I put my heart into it, but picking the episode was hard because you can only pick one and I wished I could combine a few of them.” Lucky for the actress, she had the help of some good friends and a supportive, honest boyfriend to help with her difficult decision. “I had a group of friends watch [the episodes I was deciding between] and my boyfriend is super objective and will tell me if something is bad, so he really helped me.”
