CBS Daytime has a lot to be proud in the new year! Not only are soap operas The Young and the Restless & The Bold and the Beautiful delivering highs not seen since 2008 and 2010, respectively; but The Talk delivered a series high, averaging over the 3 million mark in total viewers for the first time!

For the week Jan. 6-10, 2014, The Bold and the Beautiful drew 4.4 million viewers, the series’ largest audience since the week ending Feb. 29, 2008! Sister soap The Young and the Restless had its best week in four years, drawing 5.47 million viewers.

The Talk averaged 3.06 million viewers, up +21% from the prior week and the first time the talk show delivered three million viewers.  Among women 25-54, The Talk averaged a 1.2/06, up +20% from last week and matching its best rating in the demo.  In women 18-49, The Talk averaged 0.8/04, up +33% from last week.

Yesterday, during the annual winter Television Critics Association panel, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler announced the renewal of the network’s entire daytime lineup. With these ratings it’s no surprise the network would want to maintain its momentum.
