There’s a recast in store for General Hospital’s Agent Kyle Sloane. As the World Turns and Hollywood Heights star Grayson McCouch (pictured above right) will take over the role and begin airing in February, reports Soap Opera Digest.
A rep for GH revealed the recast to Digest earlier yesterday afternoon. The news comes two weeks after Robb Derringer (above, left), who originated the role in November, announced he was let go. His final episode was shot December 19. The actor is expected to air through January.
McCouch’s daytime roots trace back to NBC’s Another World, where he played Morgan Winthrop. He later took over the role of Dusty Donovan on CBS’ As the World Turns. In 2012, he starred in the TeenNick’s primetime soap opera Hollywood Heights. He’s most recently appeared as Dr. Thomas Wayne in Fox’s Gotham.
Little is known about Agent Kyle Sloane other than he’s a protege of Anna Devane from their days in the WSB. He came to Port Charles to investigate her involvement in the disappearance of international terrorist Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Sloane was determined to bring Anna down, enlisting Faison’s daughter Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and lover Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) in order to expose Anna’s improper conduct. Sparks would later fly between Anna and Sloane during the MetroCourt’s New Year’s Eve celebration. Look for Sloane to become heavily involved in some shady happenings in town in the coming weeks.
Is a new romance on the horizon for Port Charles’ sexy commissioner?
