Carlos is feeling confident about his case.

I don’t think Carlos is long for this world. So far he’s lucky enough to have a few aces up his sleeve but even if he does manage to avoid prison, he’s got too many enemies. I could see a possible whodunit in the future for Carlos. I really enjoy Jeffrey Parise’s take on the borderline psychotic hitman. The fact that he’s a murderer doesn’t make him a hero, it makes him crazy. His wide eyes and maniacal laugh seem to make a statement about how the vileness of killing for a living eats away at one’s humanity. Carlos is a villain but he’s a likeable one. His soft spot for Sabrina has always kept him from completely going over the edge.

Last week, Carlos shocked Michael when he revealed that he married Sabrina. I’ll admit I didn’t see that one coming either. Despite the life on the run, it would be in character for Sabrina to want to be a family with their newborn son because of her gentle nature. Carlos definitely doesn’t want to go back to prison again but I think what really has him worried is whether or not he’ll see his family again. He shares that in common with Julian. Michael cares for Sabrina and by extension her son. It’ll be interesting to see what choices he makes given the bombshell that Carlos just dropped. I could see him wanting to help Carlos for Sabrina’s sake which could put him at odds with Sonny.

Bad Cop

Nathan ex-wife, the mysterious Claudette, seems to have been a major mistake in the cop’s past in more ways than one. It turns out that not only did the sham marriage go sour but Nathan did something that could send him to the slammer. If Nathan did something that shady then it’s no wonder that he has only confided in Liesl about it. What did Nathan do? There is an obvious connection between Nathan’s failed marriage and Griffin being shot. Was Griffin the other man Claudette was seeing? Did Nathan lose his temper and shoot him? And whatever happened to Claudette? She isn’t turning up in any Google searches.

Of course the big question is what will these answers mean for Nathan and Maxie’s future together. Maxie can tell that Nathan isn’t being 100% honest and has even hired Sam to look into the situation. It’s looking like the truth may be a whole lot worse than the lie. Nathan has been one of the few good guys on GH in recent years. Perhaps we’ve all been fooled.
