The Stars of NBC’S Days of our Lives returned to Universal CityWalk for its annual ‘Day of Days‘ fan event Saturday, November 11, 2017. We spoke with stars Camila Banus (Gabi) and Lamon Archey (Eli) during the press event what’s in store in the coming months.

Days of our Lives has been on fire since the summer, mostly thanks to the writing of new head writer Ron Carlivati and team Sheri Anderson Thomas and Ryan Quan, so fans were super excited for this year’s event.

Like every year, the complimentary event was set for 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and offered fans the chance to meet and greet their favorite DAYS cast members including Lucas Adams (Tripp), Kristian Alfonso (Hope), Lamon Archey (Eli), Camila Banus (Gabi), Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas), Kassie DePavia (Eve), Judi Evans (Adrienne/Bonnie), Mary Beth Evans (Kayla), Billy Flynn (Chad), Galen Gering (Rafe), Deidre Hall (Marlena), Bill Hayes (Doug), Susan Hayes (Julie), Drake Hogestyn (John), Olivia Keegan (Claire), Lauren Koslow (Kate), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Chandler Massey (Will), Marci Miller (Abigail), Casey Moss (JJ), Stephen Nichols (Steve), Thaao Penghlis (Andre), James Reynolds (Abe), Suzanne Rogers (Maggie), Meredith Scott Lynn (Anne), Christopher Sean (Paul), Freddie Smith (Sonny), Sal Stowers (Lani), and Vanessa Williams (Valerie) for autograph signings and Q&A sessions.

TV Source Magazine was on-hand talking to all the stars in the hopes of bringing you some scoop. Most of these interviews are not spoiler heavy, as actors are limited in what they can reveal about upcoming plots. But it’s nice to hear their insight about current and previous stories, as well as other tidbits.

We hope you’ll enjoy our interview with Lamon Archey and Camila Banus.

Things haven’t been the easiest for Eli since he arrived in Salem, but what’s been your favorite moment so far?
Lamon Archey: It’s the moment when I first started and finding out that Eli’s dad passed away. I really relate to that because it ties a lot to my life. I didn’t have a relationship with my dad, I maybe saw him three times in my life, and I didn’t see him for a span of 12 years until I showed up at his funeral, so I really tied into my life.

Eli still hasn’t branched out too much, is there someone you want to work with that you haven’t on the show?
Lamon: There’s something about Allison Sweeney [Sami] that I really like. She some sassiness to her, I haven’t worked with her so her.

Gabi has had a wild year and it seems like she is settling down in her career, what can we expect for Gabi?
Camila Banus: Gabi Chic, all the way. She went to prison, she realized in prison that she needed to stop worrying about other people’s lives and worry about her life. Once she got out of prison Gabi has been geared toward making her life better, her daughter’s life better and make a stable life for her. And I think that’s what she’s done, she’s partnered up with the right people, she’s up and coming and she is going to have her own work space very soon. You guys are going to get to see an amazing Gabi Chic set, there are going to be a lot of influences that start her on this very horrific path that will lead her to one of the worst times of her life.

How does Will’s return impact Gabi?
Camila: You guys know now that he has amnesia. Imagine praying that this person who’s been gone for so long and comes back to life – the impossible happens, but he’s not even that person, because he doesn’t remember the life that he had with you . He doesn’t remember having a child with you, he doesn’t remember you existing, so does having this person back really make you happy? No , it’s not really that person. It’s very difficult when he comes back because he doesn’t remember anything, he starts making new connections with the people he had connections with and it comes all complicated as heck. It’s going to be a little sad for Gabi and Will and Arianna at the beginning and I don’t know if it’s going to get better because we are six months ahead filming and it hasn’t gotten any better, so I can’t promise you that. But everyone is going to feel how hard this situation is.

Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Episodes are available online at NBC.com.
