Coming off a Daytime Emmy win for Outstanding Younger Actor, Rome Flynn (ex-Zende, Bold and Beautiful) has been upped to a series regular role on the upcoming fifth season of ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder reports Deadline.

Flynn debuted in the Season 4 finale as the mysterious Gabriel Maddox. Gabriel’s appearance at Middleton University’s law school caught Frank’s (played by Charlie Weber) eye, immediately leading to him making a cryptic phone call to an unknown person on the other end, “The good times didn’t last long. Her kid’s here.”

Who is Gabriel Maddox? Series creator Peter Nowalk teased during press for the finale that the mystery of Gabriel’s identity and maternity will be a mystery that will play out over the course of the new season.

How to Get Away with Murder returns this fall on ABC.
