Class is almost back in session! Are you excited to meet Victor (Michael Cimino) and the rest of the Creekwood High gang? Read on for six teasers to tide you over until the premiere.

Welcome to Creekwood High

Season one of Love, Victor includes a slew of guest stars — including Sophia Bush as Veronica, the new girlfriend of Mia’s (Rachel Hilson) father; Leslie Grossman as Georgina, Lake’s (Bebe Wood) overbearing mother; and Ali Wong as Ms. Thomas, a teacher at Creekwood High. You might even see the return of a few characters from the 2018 film…

Right At Home

Although originally set to air on Disney+ Love, Victor feels right at home on Hulu, allowing the series to tackle more adult storylines like sexual fluidity, infidelity, mental health issues, and more.

You’ve Got A Friend

Whereas LOVE, SIMON was entirely from Simon’s (Nick Robinson) point of view, the series uses its longer runtime to spotlight and develop its supporting characters as they face their own challenges. Although Felix (Anthony Turpel), Mia (Hilson), Lake (Wood), Benji (George Sear), and Andrew (Mason Gooding) start the season as archetypes, none of them are the same by the time the season comes to a close.

Parents Just Don’t Understand

It isn’t just the teenagers with all the drama! One of the season’s overarching plots explores the complicated relationship between Victor’s parents, Armando (James Martinez) and Isabel (Ana Ortiz). Let’s just say there’s a reason Victor’s family moved to Atlanta — and the reveal will leave your jaw on the floor.

Room to Grow

Love, Victor‘s 10-episode first season allows a deeper exploration of its titular character’s journey of self-discovery compared to its film adaptation successor. This is especially true in the season’s eighth episode, which sees Victor traveling to New York City and interacting with other members of the LGBTQ+ community. Along the way, Victor learns the true meaning of a chosen family.

Don’t go into Love, Victor expecting everything to be wrapped up in a neat little bow by season’s end. The finale’s final moments are guaranteed to leave you wanting more, because Victor’s story is just getting started.

You can stream the entire first season of Love, Victor June 17, only on Hulu.

Set in the world of the 2018 groundbreaking film LOVE, SIMON which was inspired by Becky Albertalli’s acclaimed novel, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, the series follows Victor, a new student at Creekwood High School on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city and exploring his sexual orientation. When it all seems too much, he reaches out to Simon to help him navigate the ups and downs of high school. The film’s original writers Isaac Aptaker (This Is Us) and Elizabeth Berger (This Is Us) serve as executive producers alongside Brian Tanen (Grand Hotel), Jason Ensler (The Passage), Isaac Klausner (THE HATE U GIVE), Marty Bowen (FIRST MAN), Adam Fishbach (Narcos), Wyck Godfrey (I, ROBOT), Pouya Shahbazian (DIVERGENT) and Adam Londy. 20th Century Fox Television serves as the studio.

Love, Victor stars Michael Cimino (ANNABELLE COMES HOME) as Victor alongside Ana Ortiz (Whiskey CavalierUgly Betty) as Isabel, Victor’s smart and warm mother who loves her husband and her family, but is under a lot of pressure as they move their family across the country. The cast also includes James Martinez (One Day at a Time) as Armando, Victor’s regular blue-collar “guy’s guy” father who loves his family deeply and works hard for his family. Isabella Ferreira (Orange is the New Black) plays Pilar, Victor’s sullen younger sister in the throes of teenage angst, while Mateo Fernandez will make his acting debut as Adrian, Victor’s adorable, good-natured little brother. Rachel Naomi Hilson (This Is Us) stars as Mia, Victor’s whip-smart friend with a quick wit and easy laugh, with Bebe Wood (The Real O’Neal’sThe New Normal) as her quirky and social media-obsessed best friend, Lake. George Sear (WillInto the Badlands) portrays Benji, Victor’s confident and charming classmate, with Anthony Turpel (The Bold and the Beautiful) as Felix, Victor’s lanky, awkward new neighbor, and Mason Gooding (BOOKSMART) as Andrew, Creekwood’s cocky and popular basketball-loving jock.
